altcoins are not so wrong. botcoin flourishes too much to overwhelm it all, so it's not the altcoin's fault. The cryptocurrency market is not doing as expected, so we should not expect too much.

I will start hating altcoins only when bitcoin raise up to 20,000$ and altcoins fail to move up as well, many people are putting blames on altcoins today as if bitcoin is not in loss itself, the ATH of btc was 20k and now it's trading for 7,000+ thats like 12,000$ lost please how will this not affect other altcoins as well? Top altcoins will surely lose value as well, to me this present loss of altcoins are positive, look at coins like LTC, EOS, BNB, these coins are doing fine. You will only have problem if you invest in crap altcoins

I don't think you should worry about that because pretty much there is gonna be same rate of increase with altcoins along with Bitcoin. Maybe not that really of the same increase but I noticed it since back in 2017 when the market went red, pretty much all the coins went downhill also especially ETH that time.
There's no clear directions into this market not even bitcoin start to jumped high means that we can assume that alts will automatically follows, maybe some known alts that already have strong communities will go and tail bitcoin to its rising movements but for sure that those unknown project will not
follow and chances to die naturally will be expected. Be positive and keep learning from the market flows it will help you to build your strategy and you'll be able to easily adjust from time to time.

The fact is that altcoins are not doing their job well and are not making investors feel secure about their value rise. when bitcoin went up to 20,000 dollars the altcoins stayed still. This is too paradoxical.

I don't understand what is your basis of hating the altcoin. There are factors why people don't want some altcoins versus Bitcoin. Some Altcoins are called shit coins because they were created just for the project. After the launch of that altcoin, it will not have value in the future.
Simple logic works here, if the project becomes a mainstream, everyone will feel bad why they didn't see this ICO/IEO. The well-known exchanges don't disclose the possible projects for the Binance Launchpad, AFAIK. The guessing game is nervous in this case because of the bad market conditions.
in this sense I conclude, if we do not have the ability then mistakes can continue to occur and also the market will certainly not always support because large exchanges also do not guarantee profits. therefore ability is important because it can create confidence, and we must really have it.

Are you there when that 20k happened? It was just fast to go up and then more faster to go down.
It was some kind of an error for me. To those who sold at that price, they are really lucky.
Sadly, I did not even sell even 1 satoshi.  Grin

Altcoins and bitcoin have different market. You should keep that in mind.
I did sell some and regretted not selling many before but that happened already, altcoins have their own uses, there is nothing wrong, it's just their too many already that seems alike in other projects before that causes some failed projects and low in trading values. Bitcoin is popular that it is used by many, but I still prefer to use both as when I'm trading there are more alts that are low in fees that I can use than btc. We just need to manipulate it in a way we will benefit from alt and btc.

Yups, I also think the same. there is nothing wrong with altcoin. because all movements are to follow bitcoin. when bitcoin falls, all altcoins also fall. it's like a child who follows his mother. so it's still okay. and all will return when mom (Bitcoin) rises and rises. basically, this is an opportunity to hold great coins before bitcoin brings them to the pump.
if you look at the market you will see that if bitcoin is growing, then altcoins are falling relative to bitcoin. Of course, if you trade altcoins against the dollar, then most likely you will be able to earn some money, but now the most important thing is to earn as much bitcoin as possible. This is my goal and this can be done when bitcoin is in the flat.

I agree in you points that not all altcoins can be considered shitcoin, but there are too many of them, only a handful can be considered backed by real project and this is one of the things that worries investors, it's really prefer not to invest in a new coin.

The problem with altcoins and why people have blamed them is because they were the ones responsible for most of the speculation to happen in crypto, as well as most of the scams. Bitcoin is BTC, it is there and people are using it and markets are moving, and it keeps growing. But majority of altcoins just sat there, collected money from ICOs and never actually came up with anything useful.

Nothing is wrong with that?

I think even bitcoin is affected by the current bearish market situation. Usually, both of them carry each other during the price pump. Most altcoins are on the low right now so I am still confident that their price will go up especially during the upcoming BTC halving and Ethereum upgrade next year. I am just patiently waiting and hoping that my wait would bear fruits later on.
Yes true they are affected bith of them bitcoin ang altcoins as we see when bitcoin goes down some altcoins are going up or down so thet are affected of bitcoin movement. And as you said you patiently waiting and me too i need more patient to wait for the bitcoin price goes up because once bitcoin goes up many altcoins move forward too.

A lot of people are really not a fan of altcoins because most of them don't have any good value like bitcoin, that is why most of their investment are only on bitcoin. But in my own opinion, there are still altcoins that are worth to invest with like the top 10 altcoins in the market such as ETH, BNB, LTC, and so on that it still has a potential tto increase it's value in the future.

many people think the same thing. like when bitcoin prices go up, altcoin prices mostly go down, and when bitcoin prices, almost all altcoin prices go down, it stresses investors from altcoin. however, we cannot blame anyone. sometimes, the price of altcoin also pumps by itself, so look for that moment.
this year, when bitcoin prices were dominant and rose to $ 13,000, actually alt altcoin experienced a price development, although not much but it was quite worth it. for example, BNB which reached its ATH this year. for now, the decline is not so severe. true, only the altcoin crap will lose its price, for altcoin which continues to be developed, I think the price will rise in tune with the price of bitcoin.

Indeed there is nothing wrong with altcoin. Major Altcoin such as LTC, XRP, etc. are still stable today. Only altcoin garbage has decreased trading volume above 50%.
The only discussion at the moment is just a new altcoin that has the potential to become junk altcoin. Altcoin major as I mentioned above is rarely discussed, even though they have been proven for years to have a good development, but lost the price difference with bitcoin. That's what many people are concerned about.

It is pointless blaming either Bitcoin or altcoin. All of them are losing prices together. The entire market of cryptocurrency is not rising such as what happened in 2017. That is the reason why Bitcoin is far from $20,000, Ethereum is far from $1,400, Litecoin is falling from $300, and so on. Everybody should start realizing that and continue to keep their coins in their wallet. Only weak hands are going to give up.

But when BTC price increases in dollar value, other altcoins normally do same although mostly not with a wide margin. I also agree that we shouldn't just hold any altcoin for long term but ones with proven team transparency and devotion, and also good development. Also it's not so cool in my opinion holding so many altcoins waiting to see a positive outcome, it's better to draw a scale of preference and select a few for long term.

if altcoin we hold has good potential for the future, I think altcoin is suitable for long-term investment. In fact, when bitcoin has increased in price, it is possible that some potential altcoins can move to follow the same thing, therefore I don't think there is anything wrong with altcoin if we are wise to choose several potential altcoins to invest
I don't think anyone can guarantee for altcoin in the future because altcoin has little interest and too much supply will make altcoin prices in the future can be a time bomb that can destroy you instantly, altcoin risk is greater than risk in bitcoin.
I think you shouldnt say about guarantee in this probability market, bcz it will never happen

Altcoin already down so much from ATH. it is different with Bitcoin which is only down less
we need next altseason to get better price to altcoin, I think that's one and only one way

I don't think that anyone in the market has these unrealistic expectations of alts.

It's simply that alts have been significantly underperforming when compared to something like BTC, which has obviously been outperforming the majority of other alternatives within the market. And there is a good reason for that, because traders, especially institutions, prefer to have BTC which has had a better reputation and more liquidity in comparison to the majority of alts.

So yeah, nothing is wrong - but that doesn't mean that demand  for alts will all of a sudden exceed BTC per se.

Even if bitcoin bounces higher, I don't think alts will have to be affected for its progress. There are selected coins which increases, but was dependent on their developer if it could establish a strong community, as well as the momentum build up once bitcoin hits the best price. Many coins will follow but not at 100% breakthrough, because shitcoins won't be risen from the dead.
