So your command line would be (and just seen where you missed a space between cgminer -o, either just on the post or if it is what your putting in the command line)

sudo ./cgminer -o stratum+tcp://solo.ckpool.org:3333 -u 1JiWuyX94wrCr7JhkAn7x5qNMCEef1KhqX.searingstick

That missed space is/will probably be your trouble.

try asking in the support thread.  and I will save last spot for you.

i am at an impasse getting the sticks to work ...so don't wait for me on this.... I know zip this could take awhile

frustrating thing is i had them working on same machine as on a test a couple months ago now nada

I have not RUN this yet because NOT accepted into this solo pool (you all could be full at 40 folk)
but when i do flip the switch which (if not please tell me) of the below i should use with cgminer to start
on command? Again this is the command line on the laptop command line proper.

Again have not tossed the switch yet in that am not yet accepted here to the solo pool.

(such a linux newbie but these machines I use for putty on titans so may as well put the sticks on them ..even thou putty is the extent of my unbuntu 12.04 skills)

And i received them, not quick at all but within limit which was ~ 1 month.

I had a virtually identical experience with the Ebay China vendor for Y-cables. Two months of no news, finally a week after the maximum delivery date, and then they refunded promptly. Lost two months, and no money. I would rather pay a little more and actually receive a product.

Also going to put in a couple of Terahash hours for the cause this evening. Hoping for a block!

Ok fingers crossed your equipment arrives soon . You should be able to get them running at lower frequency (150MHz or less) without the hub, the hub (if powered) will provide extra power for overclocking and running multiple sticks.

I'm running 6 at the moment @225 on an Anker 60W 7-Port USB 3.0 hub: http://www.ianker.com/product/A7515111

Was running them @250 but have had quite a few HW errors and sticks going 'zombie' .

I know some people have had problems setting these up, luckily mine installed and worked first try (more luck than judgement lol).
