The Lavapit is back up.

It was down for awhile. The guys at the datacenter made some changes to their routers and snarfed some of my firewall entries.

Its back up now and ready for business.

Dammit. Sorry about that guys. Nothings been lost.  No attack. Stupid human error.

Now that we're up on an exchange, I was curious where I stand with this coin.  So with the help of this nifty little tool, I was able to pull a list of the current coin balances of all addresses in the blockchain.  This data was pulled as of block #138764.

Bear in mind that a single person can own multiple addresses, so it's impossible to know exactly how many coins a person actually has.  But it's pretty interesting nonetheless.  Here it is for anyone that's curious: Excel Web App

I'm actually surprised, I thought there would be more big players than that.  There's only 2 over a million, and less than 30 with over 100 thou.

Upon further investigation, it seems this list doesn't properly display solo miners that have never moved their coins.  I guess I don't fully understand the way the blockchain works.  Anyway, it's all there, for whatever it's worth.

Edit: Fixed the addresses in the doc

yes, my solo mine address is not showing although the total number of coins appears to be about right. I suspect that's what those XXXXXXXX address are

And it's already out of date...  Someone just bought a million on PhenixEx.  It's pretty easy to see who made the sale, just by looking at the amount.

Looking at sunday,..... look you know me, the Dev with the big mouth.. Tongue Let me give it to you straight...

We are going to be using the same fix that "everybody else" used. You know lava, he takes the same pool software that everybody else uses, says that's not good enough, and then spends three weeks meticulously recoding it so it comes up to his standards.. and they are high..

But there's no denying SXC is going off, It's heating up so quickly that we are going to do the adequate job everybody else used to fix the desync, have the difficulty retarget set for flash mining, and release it..

Then he'll go back to coding the next release to his standards, he's not happy about it , but good code takes time, and even he admits better code will have to do while SXC comes into it's own...

I don't think there's many 6.3.0 wallets out there but if anybody isn't sure, check and upgrade.. Chinsu's alt coin creation service code probably will gasp and fall over when the new client hits the network...

Now you know as much as I know  Wink

PLEASE, if you are running client 0.6.3,
PLEASE upgrade to 0.6.3.1.

The next release will probably refuse to talk to 0.6.3.

PLEASE!

Links for the client are on the OP.

Nice coin, good work,

is exchange this exchange site is thrustable or I hold my coins ?

Thanks in advance

Edit : Planned to put in in another exchange in the future ?

I haven't had any problem with the exchange, it looks good and performs well. I have signifigant funds held by them.

That being said it is in beta, and beta means being tested. Even well established exchanges have hiccups.

Sexcoin is presently the most profitable coin on coinchoose to mine, adjusted for stales or not. Sometimes it drops down for a short time, but it's profitablity is stable, the coins that overtake it seem to experience a very short lived pump with no legs.. Sexcoin is running like a hairy goat. More telling is profitability averaged over a week, at which it rates just under bitgem. Keep in mind that sexcoin hasn't gone the full week, and experienced volitility after it's listing. I suspect it will come first there too after it has been going a while.

Volume is surprising low, there are small trades occuring but it seems everybody is prefering to hold SXC and here I have to give different advice as there's a conflict of interest.

As a developer I suggest you hold. There is ongoing development, and usually as improvements and services are announce, prices increase.

As a miner I suggest you hold. If the coin continues it's market stabilty it's hashrate will increase and with so little coins being sold and harder to obtain by mining, the price should increase.

As a trader, I suggest you dump every coin you have on the market immediately, so I can increase my wallet balance. Even offering a price that makes mining 420% more profitable than bitcoin, theres very few takers and I want coins as cheap as I can get them.

Finally with everybody hoarding SXC, there really no need for more exchanges as PhenixEX can handle the volume. We have approached four exchanges and generally are waiting on three answers, and got a "when I get round to it, maybe".

We'll see how they feel when they aren't listing what is hopefully, one of the most consistantly profitable and popular coins among the alts.
