Some other good news:

I've got a RHEL 6.0 build which will be available in the next release. Should work  on CentOS also.

Here are some stable nodes. I've set up at least two so we will always have some available. Over the next month I'm going to hunt down more servers and spread em open....er.... spread the daemons....er....dammit.

addnode=74.122.234.52:9560
addnode=188.126.8.14:9560
addnode=67.191.160.195:9560
addnode=118.250.240.72:9560

If anyone puts up working nodes, please let us know so we can list them, also let us know if they are intermittent, or 24/7
We would like as many as we can get to help keep the coin stable.

One other thing. PLEASE, if you are running client 0.6.3, PLEASE upgrade to 0.6.3.1. The next release will probably refuse to talk to 0.6.3.

PLEASE.

If you check the coinex thread you'll see I pushed them and it was a hard sell..
(blah)
All of the above reasons had absolutely no basis in fact and were refuted one by one....
(blah)
You'll notice my language is a little "salty".. you should of heard the discussion on the dev's IRC channel, it would burn your ears right off...

Also check PheonixEX buy orders.. You'll see how much faith I have in SXC,  Wink though some may interpret things differently..  Tongue

Heh  no worries - I don't know all the ins and outs behind the sceans - am trying to get the momentum going here and on the SXC Forum pages.  Am itching to start chewing through the hashes in a couple of weeks time. (Just as soon as the Fairy SXC Good Mother dusts off some cards etc ) (at which point I'll start seriously stockpiling)  Grin  Wink  Cool

No worries.. I'm trying to find some weak hands, but so far all that's shaken lose, is 11 SXC and I didn't get them.. seems people aren't too willing to sell cheap, though I'm more than willing to buy cheap...

If you check the coinex thread you'll see I pushed them and it was a hard sell..

We didn't have source on git hub,

We didn't have functioning pools,

We didn't have a secure client because it would fork like bottlecaps, which is pos/pow and has the issues associated with that..

And although our hashrate was higher than the coins they were already trading, it wasn't high enough...

All of the above reasons had absolutely no basis in fact and were refuted one by one....

A whole lot of bullshit excuses from an exchange that wasn't secure, and doesn't even work in internet explorer, and actually needs a coin like SXC to generate traffic to it..  Angry

I was fucking insulted.. I "donated" BTC in good faith to that exchange, and offered to loan the exchange the difference to keep them going when a lack of meticulous programming caused a theft and shut down the exchange.

I also offered the services of a programmer with 17 years experience in business software development to fix their database for them.

That wasn't a bribe, it was done in good faith that they were geniune and needed help, and a gesture of goodwill...

Over on GoldCoin Talk there was this blurb for an on line processing of Alt Digital Coins... https://www.gldtalk.org/index.php?topic=414.0;topicseen (note am not affiliated with it at all) - Also, https://coinex.pw/ is also an SXC Coin free site at present - perhaps someone could give them a nudge in the right direction?

Hey, I think there might be a fork in the chain.
I noticed that the current block number reported in my wallet was about 40 blocks behind what is shown on each of the pools.
I updated my nodelist and re-downloaded the chain, and now it all matches up properly.

But it shows that my last transaction was at 3:05pm EST.  I noticed the issues around 6:30.  So I was mining about 3.5 hours on the wrong chain.  Not too serious.  Anyhoo, everyone should double check themselves to make sure they're on the right chain.  Especially anyone who is solo mining.  Current block is 136761 as of this writing.

how do I figure out when the next diff change will be and what it'll go to?

The difficulty changes every 480 Blocks, it will change at 136800. Thats in 50 blocks, at the time of posting.

ahh what was the 8 hour comment in the first post meaning then?

You are absolutely correct Zack.

I would like to encourage people to use  http://sexcoinforum.org .

This thread will still be here, but zack is graciously allowing some latitude that bitcointalk.org cannot.

Post your pools, Post your sites, Post your art, just please don't post your sister.  Shocked
