You will see some news soon.

We know you're up to something and if there's any way we can be helpful to move it along, many of us would be more than willing to put our minds to it. We believe in the product, that's why we're still here.

it took too long for you guys to reach it xD

a week ago you could've mined 1M/day / 1mh/s lol

Yup, about a week ago we were sitting on about 34 net hash. The times changed quick, that being said, I hear some complaining that the net hash isn't going up very fast, but you need to consider how many coins there are on the market right now, then think about how relatively new scrypt mining is as a whole v. how many total active miners there are world wide. I'd be surprised to hear that there's more than 500k active scrypt miners world wide and it wouldn't be surprised if someone told me it was closer to 250k miners divided amongst all the different coins out there. There's a lot of competition between the various coins for miners and you know the big guys (LiteCoin and some others) have a lot of the total net hash in their pocket. I'll be happy with just slow steady growth, but don't be surprised it there aren't some ups and downs along the way, I won't be.

I know the rate of growth of hash rate doesn't matter if the growth occurs. But the dev doesn't seem to occupied on this coin. He hasn't really posted in the topic for a few days. Or has given us any updates for the past few days also. However, I am still happily mining this coin for a few more days to see what happens.

If...IF the dev is really serious with what he said from his old replies it's possible he's focusing more on improving the coin over improving marketing the coin...

Me and the first few miners saw what he said. He keeps saying he has a grand plan but wouldn't say anything on what it exactly is. His last clue on it was the episodes you see now on page 1. I just hope we see another news soon lol.

Well even though I probably won't mine this coin longer than a few more days, Ill probably keep watching it for the coming months to see if anything interesting comes from it. Funny if nut's law actually works out.

Total number of coins is easy. You can get the current block number from your wallet, then multiply by 20,000 (block reward).

Remember, bitember was the smaller of the pools. The other pool closed registrations for a while to help distribute net hash.

Also, pools didn't open until after mining started. I wouldn't be surprised if 100M coins were mined before the first pool opened.

Huh! You are correct and it does come up to 1.1B coins, I stand informed. Thank you.

I agree, the dev. could do a little better job of keeping people better informed with actual numbers of coins mined rather than the clock mechanism we seem to have now, because I think 1 billion is a stretch. I sat and added the coins generated in the top 25 blockfinders on the Bitember pool the other day and it's not even 200m, so unless there's a ton of single mining being done or a lot of premined coins that we can't see, the 1 billion coins mined is a fantasy of epic proportions. It would also be nice to hear about what it is he's working on to help point us in a direction to plan for or look forward to.  Undecided

That's odd, I just added both the Bitember and CryptoPool's hash rates together and came up with 54.73 net hash and at the same time the registering net hash is showing 96.81 net, maybe there are a ton of free agents mining this coin out there. Hmmm! Odd.

http://www.nutpool.com
has over 50M hash.

OK, that about answers that question.  Wink I appreciate it.

So I checked into Nutpool and made an account to see what it's about, not only do they take 1%, but they demand at least another 1% "Minimum Donation." I promptly moved my hashs back to the Bitember pool. It amazes me that they have over half of the coin's net hash. Crazy  Tongue
cuz ppl dont know, what they could REALLY mine.

hmm yeah
although the activity seems scarce, to use the term, it sounds like an interesting project. Putting some khash for a few days here, although they may not be the ones we need for a steady growth.

It all counts, the key is going to be to hold what you mine, I believe it will come to us, but this coin isn't quite a month old yet and to expect it to be competing with some of the other more well established coins at this point is a little unrealistic, especially the way this coin is designed to run, it's not designed to be the hare, it's designed to be the tortoise. I'm in it for the long haul, I'm expecting some new equipment in the next couple weeks and while I might diversify my mining a little bit, I intend for Nutcoin to be my mainstay for some time to come, I believe in the basic principal of this coin.
