so for the placeAskOrder and placeBidOrder APIs....

you specify a QTY and a PRICE.  how is it to be implemented?  is that price per each of the QTY or is it the price for the whole QTY?

and how do I find out how much NXT I have in that test account?  not all APIs seem to be responding

Well, someone could create 10NXT, right? So it would be possible to "create" new NXT then? Smiley

Yes. U can create a lot of virtual coins. Later we'll add one feature that lets to issue coins backed by NXTs.

This sounds like an epic feature. I am really glad I am here to witness this uprising of this new currency. I feel like a BTC user in 2009 Cheesy

How much work is it to benchmark all 4 on the same platform? I would like to know the TPS and I think it makes sense for there to be published performance and also test results. Since it is JS, doesn't that mean it is browser specific? Do all four run on all popular browsers?

James

Take a look into sister thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=404321.80

It seems that Jaguar's implementation is the only one that achieved the 100TPS. Is this true? No offense to the others, but would there be a reason for people to use the slower versions?
I might have misunderstood the benchmarks in that thread as I didn't find any benchmarks of all four on the same computer

Someone could issue NXT in Nxt Asset Exchange and sell them for NXT...

It's like selling dollars for dollars.

you mean for direct p2p exchange? please elaborate.

I mean that AM could be encrypted by using account keys. I described the algo here - https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,727.0.html

thanks for the reference but in this example alice already using bobs public key to generate the shared secret.
how did both exchanged keys at first, if not via a public key server or - in nxt terms- via a pre-AM containing these
keys, what do i miss? i am talking not about the encryption procedure but the pure key exchange in front of any
encryption.

Alice should publish a public key in plaintext. After someone uses it she just publishes another public key. Corresponding private keys could be derived from Alice's account private key.

can someone send me some testexchangeNXT to 16155265664111966451 please?  Id like to play around with it as well

can someone in the assetXchange get me a few 1000 NXT so I can issue some assets?  I also implemented the asset exchange APIs into my CLI that I need to test as well.

Already - http://holms.cloudapp.net:6874/nxt?requestType=getTransaction&transaction=9820739763548513571
