any ideas or preference how to distribute public keys for AM?
PGP e.g. has public key server for this. is this the way to go or better to store the keys into the blockchain at a defined key account?
need to know what users prefer, to add a keyring similar structure into the client. any crypto-pro here to advise?
the key could also exchanged via a secret account, known only by both parties, in case they prefer this.

does this makes sense?

Why don't u use Nxt account keys?

Trading will make me rich)
2 questions to devs
1) when we'll be able to trade aliases?
2) why not add some memo field when sending coins? this will be very usefull for merchants and service providers, and most of other users as well)

Well im sure you have thought through all of this. Its just concerning to think of 100 billion people in the year 2800 still storing some idiots tweet about the fact that hes eating a sandwich from the year 2014.

If it was a good sandwich?

sure of course but when blocks are buried under a months worth of new blocks you can trust that you are on the right chain. thus you can just store the transactions and the block payload hash separately. And even though you couldn't calculate the hash out of the blocks you had, it would be such old news after a month that this wouldn't really matter.

Shrinking works similar way. Nothing stops us from doing it each month.

That would be a HUGE waste of resources. I just hope you and the other devs have an idea about how to avoid this.

We r launching Asset Exchange without Reputation System.

Didn't you say previously that RS would be needed for Asset Exchange?

I did. Talking about foreseeable future I mean "before April".

hey cfb is there any reason why someone would have to store arbitrary messages on their computer for all time. I was thinking that after like a month or something people would be able to delete them out of their blockchain to save space. Do i have this right?

U can't do it without changing the block payload hash.

He's busy with NEM.  Question for CFB; Is a Reputation System being developed by JLC or You? (or plans to develop)  I was going to offer a bounty for a working version, implemented using public AM.

Reputation System is not going to be implemented in foreseeable future.

Bummer...  My hope was that NXT Reputation System could help with giving reputation to closed source apps, too.

The main purpose of Arbitrary Messages is to send signals, not to store data. During the shrinking all AMs will be removed.

What's your opinion on how to store data in a decentralized manner?

Service Providers.

I think FC will launch NEX. If he doesn't then theymos will do it. Now NEX is backed by theymos reputation. Smiley

Why Only 1000 bytes for arbitrary message?

An arbitrary number was taken.

But how can someone send a file? I can only split but with a 2 MB files became impossible

Think Torrents

I have a few 500GB SSD's ready for Nxt storage!

Oh and btw...Frictionless has another project going on:

http://cryptosource.org/ixcoin-a-very-old-bitcoin-clone-ready-to-skyrocket/

He's trying to dethrone Bitcoin, Mastercoin and now NXT.

Will he succeed? Stay tuned...
