If some baddie has your secret key, wouldn't they also have a bot that continually listens for 'unfreeze account' messages and, when it gets one, immediately transfers all funds away?
No. Transactions will be sent directly to forging hubs. This can happen only if baddie == hub.

in my eyes this doesn't add any security level. if your account pw got stolen, the second pw would also have been stolen.
there's no defence against keyloggers. this applies to regular banking more or less also.
it's also not unsafer than bitcoin, because your wallet.dat can be stolen equally.
