All nodes have 1100-3000 unconfirmed transactions, no orphan blocks.
Restarting helps clear those unconfirmed txs to 0.
Some monkey business going on here.

Well you missed the debate on few previous pages. If you are having funny unconfirmed transactions that means your NXT is not
working well.

No, I read that debate, but there you had blocks wrong too. Blocks are ok with me, just those unconfirmed transactions show. Restarting NXT helps to clear them off, no need to download anything again. Just wondering what the heck this is all about. As for NXT working well, it's not at that point with anyone yet, we're still on the way to this goal. Maybe some time by April Smiley

Number of funny tx you mentioned is very similar to number of orphaned blocks I encountered. Is someone attempting to do a rollback
on older version nodes?

No idea, but I don't see any orphan blocks. All blocks are going normal, as they should be. Only many unconfirmed transactions.

Unconfirmed transactions [3902]

you guys see this?

Many transactions are from December.

Me 2

I restarted NXT on one node, that cleaned them off, but still showing on others, must be some sort of spamming the network?

1. Shutdown NXT
2. Install 0.5.1
3. Delete all .nrx files in NXT root directory
4. At that same location create a new file blockchain.nrs
5. Start NXT and wait for a while until blockchain downloads, like 15 minutes

That only works for when you can't download the blockchain.
The blockchain is good this time, just a bunch of funny unconfirmed transactions showing in the left transaction tab Smiley

working well. I had the same funny tx issue but also a sort of blockchain rollback that resulted in permanently corrupted .nxt files.

3. Delete all .nxt and .nxt.bak files in NXT root directory

LOL, everyone quoted me before corrections were made, stop it!  Grin

Or wait while script will do it automatically Cool

@VPS-owners What is "numberOfUsers" at your http://VPS:7874/nxt?requestType=getState ? Have 2, but I haven't logged in. Somebody uses my servers, seriously?

Well, I give up. 051 seems more bad than 050. All time getting minus in "Recent blocks", cannot download blockchain after deletion of .nxt files. Very disappointed  Cry

seems unstable compared to 0.5.0. not sure but I tried to register some aliases but could not do it reliably.

Maybe we could create an asset organisation in some exotic liberal country? Would you pay me for living in Seychelles or in Panama? Cheesy

If one were truly committed to creating a NXT/Fiat gateway... the best way to go would be through a Belize International Business Company (IBC) that is owned by a Belize Trust.

Here is how you do it:

a. You create the Belize Trust (Trustees, Beneficiaries, etc.)
b. The Trust incorporates the IBC; thus the Trust is the owner of the IBC and not the beneficiaries of the Trust.
c. IBC creates a business presence online (website, NXT Asset Exchange gateway, etc.)
d. All bank, merchant, exchange, etc. accounts are opened by the IBC.
e. Belize bank account is in $.
f. The physical address associated with all accounts is the corporate address of the IBC.
g) There is NO TAX for income earned from IBCs outside Belize.

You are looking at $1500-2000 to set this up and around $1000 yearly expenses to renew the Belize contracts.

And YES... it is all COMPLETELY LEGAL!!!   Wink

Just saw a block with 10000 fee passing by. Who is that generous to forgers?

It was this:

Didn't know it was possible to have amount at 0?

the amt is 0 because its an alias assigmnent.  My guess is that fee wasnt as much "generosity" as was the assigner knew his account was the next forger due to TF and wanted to play a little mind game with us and was just waiting to buy the alias until he was sure he was the next forger

The issues all come down to Dgex, which is the only exchange for Nxt and the only source for coinmarketcap stats.  The site is often unavailable (ddos attacks) and subject to manipulation, furthermore, they've implemented outrageous fees causing many to shy away from trading.

Which is why we should move some trading over to Peercover. Not all trading, but some of it, just to test the waters. There aren't any fees and you don't even have to deal with XRP save for the reserve which comes down to less than a dollar's worth. Don't know why people are still hesitant to move over there.

people are hesitant because its confusing. we have to think fast to trade and any confusion or multiple calculations makes for a lag and hesitation.

But you would rather risk deposits being late or lost? And paying fees out the wazoo? I walked through the whole process yesterday and it was actually very simple. You don't have to trade for XRP, but if you do, you can send that directly to a BTC address and it converts it for you at MP. No need to hassle with buying BTC with XRP. I'm saying people start trading NXT/BTC on Peercover, eliminate dealing with XRP altogether.

add an empty file called blockchain.nrs in your NXT folder

It seems that helped, thanks! Not sure how I had it all working correctly without that file for weeks until today, though.

Ermm why is my node uploading way more data than downloading? It is like that constantly.

same for me - looks like the columns were switched, didn't pay attention until now...
anyone else?

Could someone please answer our questions? Is it merely a bug somewhere or it is normal D:U ratio is 1:50+ ?

is your node hallmarked?  If so, what is the balance?  are you running any nodes elsewhere with that hallmark?  Does your nat/router/firewall forward TCP port 7874 to the computer that is running your java instance?

I'm running just normal computer and normal NXT node. You know, download NXT, install, run. Just 1 node. Balance is 501 NXT.
TCP port was not forwarded so I added port forwarding with http://sourceforge.net/projects/upnp-portmapper but D:U ratio still
goes 1:50+ almost immidiately after I ran NXT. When looking at current blocks tab as well as peers tab, it becomes obvious that
my node uploads a lot of data to all other nodes as soon as it receives a new block.
