This is to be considered stable release. Change log:

Fixed more concurrency issues, performance optimizations and code cleanup.
I have fixed all the visible code issues that I consider to be bugs, the
remaining TODO's on my list are a matter of code cleanup and refactoring.

Added a checkpoint at block 30000 (the start of transparent forging block).

Added wesleyh's update checker:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4294180
Use https://localhost:7875/update.html to check for updates - this feature
may still have bugs, but including it in the package is a good way to get
people to test it on multiple browsers.

I have not been able to find any possible cause yet for the most critical
in my opinion bug reported so far, transactions being sent to a recipient
different than the one selected. I have read through the relevant code
again, but don't see any obvious way how this could happen. I am not
ignoring those reports and believe it may be a real bug and not a user
error, but without a way to reproduce the problem, it is very hard to
track it down.

NXT is the future
honnestly I would not go to dgex, what is holding him to increase the fees again tomorrow.

Just for the record, this constant downplay from the former nextcoin.org moderator who has been jumping back and forth with utter incoherence, this nice chap asked yesterday for a 24/7 support section which he would moderate, right after that leaving newbies in the cold without any word or response to anyone's queries.

Everything is not what it seems guys, sometimes the bad are the good and the trolls know how to lead us to not seeing the forest from the trees.

DGEX works just fine and is lowering fees on Jan 5th.

Still helping people just not on your forum, I would rather not be associated with you, sorry.

You…, you can pay employees to help you out on your forum and exchange from the huge fees you ask.

What you did and the timing was scandalous.

I wonder were you get the time to engage with trolls, I read from some people still waiting on money for more than 2 days, and that your support has a backlog of FEW days.

People with questions are welcome to the decentralized forum: https://forum.nxtcrypto.org

dgex problems again...
DGEX is a disaster.  They never sent me my approx 1,200 NXT, i emailed them 2+ weeks ago, they replied 1 week later to the effect of "we trust your issue has been resolved".  I emailed them back and said it has not, and no reply.  Just stole my BTC.

I agree they also cancelled possibility to withdraw NXT  for free - I ask why 1,4% its worse than banking fees!!! even Bank America has lower fees. And especially from somebody who apparently came in into NXT from the beginning who don't have to solve financial problems for the rest of his life
well OK, its his offer we don't have to visit Dgex, but don't you think that 1,4% withdrawal fee is very high??

It is. Nxt withdrawal should be free! Graviton!

DGEX Fees starting from 2013-11-28 applicable for now
NXT BUY and SELL: 0%
NXT deposits: 0%
BTC deposits: 0%
NXT cashouts: 1.4%
BTC cashouts: 1.4% to 3.2%
(instant) min. 0.0005 BTC

have you ever seen it? 3.2% fee for BTC Is it a joke?

besides all this now the Dgex is down....

THIS my friends THIS is a scandal!
I will never put one NXT or BTC to that exchange no matter what happen!

I checked it again and sent 1000 NXT to myself and we are back at 1.4% for the cheapest withdrawals
yes I paid 14 NXT - try it yourself
despite Dgex is promising https://dgex.com/fees.htm "only" 1.2% (what is in my opinion skyhigh anyway)
and if you hurry, lets pay 3.2% on BTC for fast withdrawal
- even Citibank who feeds managers and thousands of employees has lower fees on withdrawals - I was fool when I didnot check the fees carefully at the beginning -
when I think about comparing fees on Cryptsy or MtGox or Bitstamp (it has zero if you send btc away) or BTCe ..... this is uncomparable
- taking into account that Dgex has in fact monopoly, if early adopters want to sell some coins they have practically the only option and also volume is not so low (I would bet hundreds of BTC every day) I cant understand it....  Huh
The fees are everytime changed without prior notice and I will not recalculate if I am paying 0.17% or 0.25% or anything else for every trade - in fact whom do you want complain - you can blame only yourself !

I have already bought NXT which I want to keep for future and with a small part of the coins which I will be trading I am moving away to trade them at https://nxtchg.com/

happy trading at Dgex Grin

I have posted almost 250 times on the nextcoin.org forums and have been answering tech support questions every day.  People are not being left in the cold.  In fact I just finished responding to a new round of questions, which was about the sixth time I've been to the forums today.

Pin has decided to move on, and I hold nothing against him because he's a very committed and helpful person.  But I'm not going to punish people who need help (regardless of their decision to post on nextcoin.org or nxtcrypto.org.)

I can moderate your help desk forum.  In fact, I believe Pin asked you to let me do that!  IRL I am an IT Manager and have more than 15 years' experience in tech support.  You know it's bad when I start itching for a ticketing system and ITIL compliance.

Selling 4,000,000.00 NXT at 0.000075BTC each, Get yours cheap! get yours NOW!

You probably would not set such a low price if you knew there was a guy currently trying to buy up 1M NXT on dgex.

https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,2224.msg22916.html#msg22916

That's enough buying volume to create quite an uptrend if sellers were wise.

Well I am selling and that is the price Wink if yo like it, grab it. I am actually surprised I havent sold any yet :S

dgex is fine, solid, stable...

if you look at pin's last posts, half of them are only his crusade against "the dictatorship of one person on the exchange and the forum" (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4296301) so it is probably only his fight... But who isn't "special?" Smiley

Many loyal people turn into the haters very easily (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.4143077), but sometimes they return, as pin did and became a big helper Smiley

NEWS

The last chance to claim unclaimed coins is over.

We have ~13M coins left and they'll be spent for rewards, bounties and development. Now we are running a reward program. I ask the community to post here links (with short description and link to BTT profile) to projects/persons that helped to promote Nxt. Only projects launched before the 3rd of Jan can apply. There will be several categories, BCNext will choose 3 best participants from each category. I'll contact project owners via BTT personal message to get Nxt account ids for reward payments. The 1st place will receive 50'000, 2nd - 30'000 and 3rd - 20'000 NXT.

PSA (occasional re-post)

Since this thread is VERY long and you may be having trouble finding answers to basic questions about Nxt, we recommend newcomers check out the Nxt Wiki, which actively compiles information gleaned from this thread and many other sources.

Thanks to translators, parts of the wiki are now available in more than a dozen languages, besides English.

How long are transfers in and out taking now?  The only thing keeping me from using dgex is the delays.
NXT in ~1 to 3 business hours (12 hrs outside). NXT out ~12 - 24 hours
BTC in instant
BTC out instant (high fee) to 12 hours (lower fee)

Longer delays are isolated problem cases.

/offtopic, Thanks.

Nxt Myths Questionnaire
Friends, please, fill in this very short "">Questionnaire about Nxt myths, it takes only 60 seconds:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1ksk6tgs6gfrYZLd30NWQw3VfrTkKavHPHlxvnV0sD1E/viewform

Thank you a lot, it will be used for my Nxt video project

Maybe add a checkbox for "Never believed any of the myths"? Or a Yes/No option next to the initial question "Did you believe in any of these myths?"

or you can send blank form Smiley

Yeah, I sent a blank form too. But not sure if you would interpret blank forms like that, and if other people would also think of that as an option. An explicit option makes things clearer.
