Anyone know when NXT will be open sourced? Last I knew it was going to be released 1/3/14 but I can't find a download or reference to it anywhere.

Thanks, curious what alias feature is.
It is not open sourced - you will see why..

I'll tackle the flyer. At work currently; could someone post a link to all hi-res assets, preferably .eps for the logo?

Better, but still not a fan. I suggested to adminius that I'm willing to buy one of these for the forum:

http://themeforest.net/item/marina-responsive-retina-ready-phpbb3-theme/full_screen_preview/6509951
http://demo.rockettheme.com/phpbb3/?style=stratos
http://demo.rockettheme.com/phpbb3/?style=acacia

(Preferrably the first :-))

First and second are both nice.
I dislike a forum that's too "open" in it's design.
Would it be possible to alternate shades per row? ie. uneven rows = white, even rows = light grey? That makes for much easier reading, at least to me.

The first one is still a bit "acid". Highly cyan Smiley

Second one (stratos) on the other hand is a nice, calm blue. How much do they cost?

And can the names and avatars be switched back to the classic position on the left?

EDIT:

Oh, sorry, I figured out you can switch colors. Then the blue first is my favorite.

Will the ability to switch colors be preserved or you have to pick a color before you buy?

Never mind, the current one is very nice too Smiley

Then again, there's always the forum.  Maybe it will be quicker.

Anyone interested in buying some NXT?

Let's keep it to the trading post; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345336.0;topicseen

Oh, thanks.

The only reason I posted here is b/c the trading thread is not listed on the first page of this thread anymore (or at least I could not find it).

I am needing new API functions, any developer could pass through my threads?

https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,2226.0.html ( getAccountsTransactionIds )
https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,2289.0.html ( getAccountForged & getAccountGenerating )
I will investigate if I can add those in the next release.
Thank you very much! Smiley

So far I had no interest in forging because I was busy in doing other things. But, if I want to forge, do I need to keep the client open? If I had several accounts, do I keep them open at the same time?

Lucky for you, forging takes no effort, so you can keep busy with other things.  Basically, you start client, unlock account via browser (enter passphrase), close browser with account still unlocked, keep cmd (client) running and you will be forging.  You have to keep the client running with your account unlocked for approximately 24 hours for the account to start forging, at which point you will see a notice above the most recent generated block telling you how long until you forge next block.

hmmm no
u don't need to wait 24hrs after you open client for the first time. u need to wait 24hrs after first transaction receveid (1440 confirms), then you can open your client and start forging Wink

My account had Nxt for several days but never forged until I left the client running for 24 hours (1440 confirmations), of course not 24 hours consecutively.

confirmations are coming from the network, not from your client Wink
you should just wait the confirmation for start forging

Haha, we will see a lot of scam coins arising from the success of Nxt.  Now that people have reviewed how innovative the source is, they are going to copy, unfortunately their copies will contain the fatal flaw!

i am thinking about setting up a special taskforce to brutally destroy these clone coins at their infancy  Grin

It should be corrected that www.nxtcrypto.org is hosted and maintained by QBTC. So she should be nominated for this site in site category. Her profile is here https://nextcoin.org/index.php?action=profile;u=498

opticalc has also done a lot of works in setting up nodes, moderating forum, so I am nominating opticalc for setting up and maintaining  nxtcrypto forum. his profile https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/opticalcarrier-165191

There are so many people who have done volunteer works for the NXT development so far. I hope everyone should get at least something for their efforts.
Some NXT original stake holders  have done a lot for NXT. They deserve honorable mentions, but perhaps NXT rewards should go to smaller NXT stake holders, imho.

Does anyone know if dgex working OK right now?

What's the best exchange to use?

Anyone?
Maybe the ripple gateway (https://peercover.com/#/simpleGateway)

honnestly I would not go to dgex, what is holding him to increase the fees again tomorrow.

Have you used it?  Any good?  Sounds complicated to me.  Also, I'm not sure about the rates.

I would like to put my name forward just so that BCNext might read my research paper! I'll be releasing Version 0.2 soon.
