hey cfb. does baseTarget adjust with an algorithm similar to bitcoins re-target algo?

No. Next base target = previous base target * time since last block / 60.

Edit: It's limited to 50% - 200% interval also.

That's great! Where could I buy a few thousands of these raspberries? For NXT or USD (not sure how long USD will be accepted so I prefer to get rid of dollars in the 1st place).

After digging a little more, I see Newark has Model B units (the one you want, the Model A doesn't have Ethernet) for $40 each including the programmed SD card - over 27,000 in stock for same day shipping.  If you are serious about a one week crash effort to get some large number of Raspberry Pis deployed under NXT dev control, the hardware is there to support whatever plan you concoct.

Thank u. After the release I'm going to make sure that NRS works well on them and buy as many as possible. I just have to find good datacentres for colocation.

Some transactions aren't added to the total balance of my account.
Yesterday they where... has that to do with a fork or something?
I run the 0.4.7e client.
Same thing in the blockexplorer...

PM me with ur account id.

rickyjames do you want to post your findings on there?

Sure, I'll post some thoughts over there.  I was a member at the raspberrypi.org forum from day one.  And I always have something to say.   Smiley

For security, what is the sha256sum?

Second vote for checksums on hosted files, especially where those of us with VPS might use wget/curl from another person's dropbox. Wouldn't be tough to squeeze in some code to steal all our coins (although of course you could do that too!).

Edit: I see you've now said you'll do it, thanks Smiley

I think you'd be wise to listen to BCNext.   The contents of a release have no impact on the effectiveness of a backdoor.

Security is a process, you must exercise good habbits.

Now I got it, thx. I'll provide SHA256 next time (remind me if I forget).

Thanks.

I keep restarting client, it's fine at first, but then as soon as a non 4.7e peer, a bunch of valid looking blocks become orphans and I am stuck on block 24167

Do I need to somehow blacklist the 4.4 nodes?

Also, is block chain info website up to data?

The best place...

http://www.newark.com/raspberry-pi-accessories

..altho there are many others (Amazon, EBay, etc) and Liz Upton of the Raspberry Pi Foundation is in direct contact with the Sony factory in the UK that turns out 40K units per week.

Something to use as a springboard document:

Thx.

A thought has crossed my mind... Could "The Hive" feature, developed by nexern, be deployed to those raspberries...

is everyone else seeing that they have to closely watch their public hallmarked nodes to check if they get stuck on a block?

Yes, I'm not sure if I'm getting attacked or if its just a client issue, but I'm having to reset frequently.

I'm using last version 0.4.7e and got this:

Recent blocks [-456]
Orphaned blocks [710]

Last block:

      24419      2382970272294477859      25/12/2013 19:42:57
3      0 + 3      417 B
1      11754117828916423045      321 %

Looks legit. Press F5.

Thanks. It is working again. Wink
