I strongly urge you to get in touch with Liz Upton of the Raspberry Pi Foundation ASAP.  You've got a big problem and she has a possible solution she could get implemented very quickly.

Someone else should do that. I'm not a CEO of Nxt.

Let me rephrase my comment.  I volunteer to contact Liz Upton of the Raspberry Pi Foundation if somebody can provide me with a node script for the Pi and possibly some sort of NXT donation proposal for the Foundation / users to sweeten the deal for them.

I think this guy has figured it out...@ Nov....I think he post here regularly.

"PS: Java installed perfectly on Raspberry Pi, thank you guys. And it is still mining. Looks like it did not brake. Will try to do more experiments."

could raspberry Pi idea work?

Yes. I saw an article in russian where the author stated that he was running NRS on PI.

Price of Nxt keeps growing... I don't like it, something wrong...
Lots of people want in before january source release maybe? I thought today would be a slow dat in crypto world but obviously not NXT still trending upwards.

I also thought about buying some raspberry pi to use it as nxt nodes... but haven't found anything about how to set this up.

Anyone has Raspberry Pi running as nxt node?

Ok, just saw this:

War chest update

1. I have received several PMs with offers to help set up public nodes
2. Due to the very high volume of posts, I have not been able to check through every one looking for most suitable/deserving member to disburse the funds.
3. We have another 260K in the fund available for immediate disbursement. So, here's my plan.

Anyone who has a history of setting up nodes and who have a specific plan of action, please post your requirements here and follow up with a PM to me. I'll disburse funds to all legit requests asap.

Conditions:

1. You must describe your specific plan and how much Nxt you need to implement the plan.
Eg. I need xx Nxt to set up nn Nodes in these locations by this date.

2. You have to report back to the community after you've implemented your plan.

Thanks.

Ok, seems that we need nodes as fast as possible.
Can setup 5 vps-nodes in germany immediately(5x1000 per month).

Would setup other 5 in asia after find out a hoster using suitable hypervisor to provide stable hardware resources.
I will feedback the state.

(you can recommend location and or hoster - I will take all advice's into account)

After the network is fitting again I will crate an separate account for donations.
For now you can support the nodes by donating at disclaimer account.
I will transfer all donations later to a separate donation account for transparency.

NxT Hurra !!!

Thanks. I will send you funds for the following once I can get my node to sync.

15K for 5 nodes in Germany x 3 months

Please PM after you've confirmed the Asia nodes. I'd like to request 5 nodes in Australia/NZ

Just out of curiosity, do you think this current DDos comes from banks, government agencies, or bitcoiners?

I think it's Luke-Jr but this is a pure guess.

Modus operandi is the same.

Plus, when the apocalyptic showdown between Bitcoin and NXT starts in earnest in a week, there would be a certain delicious irony seeing $5000 ASIC operators in a death match with $25 Pi operators.

Most of bitcoiners r our allies in the fight against banks and government agencies.

So could someone please provide a download of their blockchain?
- no need. Use blockchain files from nxt.0.4.6.zip.  And delete all WellKnownPeers except 78.46.63.221 and 95.85.46.233.  I have managed to catch up after several attempts.

Did just that. However, I seem to have massive bad luck, as those too nodes seem to be saturated and won't serve mine.

@landomata: I'll try to run a NXT node on my Pi later this day, probably.

EDIT: Ok, FINALLY 95.85.46.233 served my node. Now my node 109.230.224.65 is up to date, too, so you can use it as a static node.
