Made some quick research on the issue with the huge transactions.

EDIT: sorry, it wasn´t me alone doing it. we did it together with j0b from the chat ( http://webchat.freenode.net/?channels=# )
Please donate him some nxt for his efforts:

The nxts were popping up here first: (passphrase "1")
http://87.230.14.1/nxt/nxt.cgi?action=3000&acc=3705364957971254799

Some of them were transferred to this address:

Which belongs to the user nozi123
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/nozi123-168584
(he was online when all this happened)

He also posted in here, asking where his coins are which he bought from dgex.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.6640
(his post was later deleted form the thread but I replied him quoting his original question with the account number he provided)

What to do? Can we do anything? Is it worth to do anything?

-4,294,967,296 NXT...

Hi,

How often are confirmations? Theoretically every minute right? So I should have 1440 confirmations after 24h. However, I have many less confirmations:

https://i.imgur.com/d0UzsME.png

Accordnig to this and if I'm right, I should have 1440 confirmations on the 24.12.2013 at 12:49:00. However, it's not the case. Unless I'm not counting properly the time mabye because of my location...
What's the answer? I've read it's one minute on average. Maybe because of attacks or sth it can have been delayed quite a lot? Smiley

Also, is it safe to post this? I guess so, no private info here right?

More questions, I call the server this way: java -Xms512m -Xmx1024m -jar start.jar

Should I add some parameters to make it better?

Also, it's crazy. A few hours outside and when I come back, it's so difficult to catch up with so much new information!

Lastly, anyone can provide a link with info about what an orphan block means and implications of ""being in a fork"" whatever it means?

Thanks thanks and thanks again!

James,

Typed 7874 in place of 7875 in the url bar on my browser and still nothing.  I had previously  downloaded Java version 7u45 (developer kit) per NXT wiki.  I'm not sure what you mean when you say to control C Java and .....  Where do I do this?  I guess  I'm more of a newbie than you.  Thanks for helping me out.

hilotime,

I am also newbie, so I will try to help, but no guarantees.

try port 7874

If that still gets you out of sync data. kill the java with control C. Delete the blocks.nxt and transactions.nxt and restart the java. It will take a bit to redownload, but after that the client should show same info as blockchain website

James

P.S. You are running the java with start.jar? If not, there is nothing for webpage to connect to, it runs a local server

Thank you, James.

When I follow your link I get to the blockchain explorer where I enter my account number after which I can see the transaction for 2500.00 NXT.  However, now when I try to connect to my client (https://127.0.0.1:7875), my browser tells me it cannot connect to this server.  Do I need to set up a new client? If so, how?  I'm a newbie, obviously, and could use some help.

Thanks again,

It used to have integer overflow amount of fees in every block and also big lag.
Now back to the normal fees and almost no lag.

I guess Ddos is still super active with less than 10% of the people forging, but at least the scary looking fees are gone

Will all transactions after the overflow fees crept in have to be done over? I got big deposit during that time, don't want to lose it!

James

I think CfB can invalidate only the "fake" transactions occured previously. don't worry and have a good night Smiley
CfB doesn't invalidate anything himself.  The client will invalidate it.  Also same stuff happens in XBT so don't stress.  See http://blockchain.info/address/1J1F3U7gHrCjsEsRimDJ3oYBiV24wA8FuV

Hello,

I am posting this here as I don't know where else to turn for help.  I purchased 2500.0 NXT from dgex.com and immediately withdrew it, sending it to my account: 14900499787773314124.  this was close to three days ago.  I have attempted to make contact through dgex.com, but have not heard back from anyone.  For details of the transaction history via dgex.com see the copy & paste below:

Time       Order / Event   Value
2013-12-22 11:14:02       Withdrawal fee   0.00000000
2013-12-22 11:14:02       NXT Withdrawal COMPLETED   -2500.00000000
2013-12-22 11:10:45       Buy 2500.00000000 NXT at 0.00003488 each   -0.08720000
2013-12-22 10:57:45       BTC deposit CONFIRMED   0.10000000
