Now that you mention it... should they invest in some SSL or something similar?!?

Looking at their interface I suspect their server is written in Fortran. This protects much better coz noone knows how to hack Fortran-based sites. Smiley

no, cobol!

http://dgex.com/ still works. Is it hosted on a supercomputer or attackers just forgot about it? Smiley

press F5 and look if that changes something.
I tried pressing F5 to refresh the page and it is still on 22310. I've done the F5 thing about 5 times so far and I tried reloading the browser entirely and still no go

My server isn't cooperating :/, might need to reinstall a clean copy of linux. I'm going to buy a 5gbps ddos protected server from these guys https://www.staminus.net/ddos-protection in a few days.

This is Application level attack. Low-level ddos won't help much.

we should not assume the block explorer is always on the longest chain, should we?

you can't, the block explorer depends on the peer like all other nodes. one hour ago the explorer
was on another chain for a short time but atm everything is looking fine so far.

ps: i deactivated the stats view, because i have had massiv bot-requests on this page.
the attacker is clever, because he knew this page eats the most cpu resources to deliver.
