Just upgraded the well-known node that I run, 46.19.137.116 to the maximum my VPS provider offers, 8 CPU / 16 GB ram. It is at block 22350 now. Had to help it a bit by copying the latest blocks.nxt and transactions.nxt from my home laptop

I have one vps that is on higher chain and local client is behind. Both hallmarked. Leaving it as is to see what happens.

Well I was still stuck at 310 with wrong chain so I did the trick before I could read the last 3 pages here because of the 502s on Bitcointalk... now everything seems going well again, but it would be nice to understand the cause of those forks?

For normal usage yes, but they'd probably switch you off when vps is ddosed or you'd run out of bandwidth soon and have to pay overages.

Is it not fair to help the nodes find the right chain?
I understand it's a scientific interest with you, but we can affect it, if we upload the chain manually, or not?This is not fair. Do the trick only if u forge on that node.
