Hi, can anyone explain to me how it's supossed to work the descentraliced exchange?

I believe it will work like this.  There will be gateways for different currencies (crypto or fiat).  You send your currency to this gateway.  The gateway then issues the asset on the Nxt network via colored coins.  That asset is then transferable on Nxt.  You can have many different issuers of the same currency.  All these currencies will then be able to be traded in a decentralized manner.  To redeem your currency, you send it back to the asset issuer and they send you the crypto or the fiat.

Ok so basically the more NXT you have the better your chance of winning the right to author the next block right? Its sort of like a lottery and every unit of currency is a ticket, or an entry into that lottery. do i have that right?

more Nxt - sooner win. But gained amount is also different - rich people get more than poor users...

The more coins you have the more blocks you will generate, but the amount you get per block is dependent on the transaction fees included in the block.

I'd say that is not true. Everyone gets the same chance based upon the amount of coins they own. It's a linear relationship.

From Wiki:
To exchange cryptocoins right now, you have to sign up for an account on a centralized platform such as Cryptsy/BTC-E/Bter/etc, transfer coins to them and then pay them for transactions. This brings in a large concern: it’s possible that the exchange could just bail with everyone's deposits. This recently happened when the Sheep Marketplace did just that with 96,000 bitcoins. The developers of Nxt are developing a peer-peer exchange into the software to allow for decentralized trading which will eliminate this trust point. It will also eliminate trading fees! Obviously this is all still completely secure and anonymous as are current bitcoin transactions.

Or you can look at the video, 0:56:

Thank you, but, I still don't understand how they are going to achieve that  Huh Something Ripple style with the gateways problem?

***

In last days I am trying to create useful lists of tasks and people... Orientation is really needed

1. Here is a topic about Nxt team with gdoc, where you can sign up to the team:
https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,793.0.html

2. Here is updated Todo list (short / long therm Priorities):
https://nextcoin.org/index.php/topic,17.msg6721.html#msg6721

- there are some updates from forums, from gdoc and also I added some entries by spying peercoin volunteers group Smiley

I think that if anyone wants to help with the project, he should start here

nice NXT video!! i have embedded it on cryptocoincharts Wink

Cool video, except the 'built-in deflation' disadvantage of bitcoin, which may not be looked upon as disadvantage at all, but a feature, is also present in NXT, and even more so, because the money supply is stable, whereas in bitcoin it is slowly, but growing. So, I'd remove that disadvantage of bitcoin from the list. One of the good things about cryptos is that they don't allow for arbitrary 'printing' of them like fiat currencies do, and that is a big advantage. If someone wants an inflationary currency, they can just use fiat.

OK, I will remove that. If anyone has any other comments for my videos:

New version of the mac client now has auto-update support, whenever a new version of the nxt client comes out you will be notified and asked to update. The app checks for a new version on start, and also once a day if you keep it running forever.

Download here: https://copy.com/Gd4AMCJjdJ3l

Now I need some people to test if the auto-update really works (as it does on my system), so you can download a version here which has the nxt 0.3.19 client included. After startup it should ask you to update.

https://copy.com/MeTLJy7zhiM1

Btw, you will now get a "loading blocks" message on first start. This ensures that blocks.nxt and other files are created and you do not see zero balances. This is only on first load of the app and if you haven't started the app in a week or more.

Donations are appreciated, put a lot of time in to this. Only 3 donations so far. Thanks to those that did donate :-) (Nxt id in my signature)

PS: Right click the application, then choose "open" if you get a security warning, this is normal - because the application is not yet signed.

PS2: Make sure any other java server is not running any more before starting this app.

10K to you from the giveaway fund but after I test it (Mavericks) tomorrow, hope you don't mind!

wow , so I just tip in the browser a word , ex.:  books  , and this will be the alias? ... (and if the user wil have the plugin instaled it will be redirected to the site the alias is pointed to)  - correct ?

U have to add "nxt:" in front of "books".

I's the domain  name going to be resolved via an api call or something? I'd love to make a browser extension. Does this mean that people that want to use the domain need to have the nxt software on at all times?

If they type alias in a browser then they do need a plugin that can connect to any public/private node. If an alias is used on a webpage, then JavaScript can do all the work.
