That wasn't me. But anyway: the transaction went through immediately once a new block was found. All's well that ends well. Smiley

Sometimes transactions r lost in limbo and u don't know if they r confirmed in future. AFAIK Bitcoin has similar issue. Resend transactions only after they expire (if not confirmed).

What's everyone's current block?
I tried sending some Nxt, and it said "money sent", but no transaction appeared and my balance didn't change.
Not sure what to do now.. I set deadline to 1 hour.. thinking about just waiting that out and trying again.

Wait. I see 2 similar transactions for 18'500 NXT.

Come-from-Beyond,

Since the http web interface, api commands, and the P2P port use 7874, what settings do we change to prevent external connections to our clients and external API requests?

web.xml contains 2 parameters (allowedUserHosts and allowedBotHosts), the former is not enabled yet, rename index.html to random_chars.html (in nxt/webapps/root/) to block the interface.

The list of allowed hosts must be separated with ";". Open http://localhost:7874/nxt?requestType=getMyInfo to get ur host name ("host" parameter in the response).

What I love about NXT is the concept that you don't have to worry about keeping and backing up a wallet file, and can access your funds from anywhere with internet access, by going to any node that runs a public server. I think this concept is going to fly, maybe not right away, but users like convenience, backing up wallets is cumbersome even to most geeky of them. So NXT will be popular at least with the most lazy of crypto users who don't want to do all the work with software and handling wallets.

What is important is to explain to them that they need to choose a really really strong pass phrase. They can neglect that aspect and develop distrust if their accounts are hacked due to weak pass phrase. So one of the promotion points should be about educating users on the importance of strong hard to brute-force pass phrases.

but you can always create another account and transfer there your NXTs, if you think that you need a bette password Smiley

I think someones already done that for me on my account! WTF!

Cheers that works but still a few bugs:

-No block information
-not showing balance (show's 1, but should show 500001)
-only showing 1 peer
