How do I backup the wallet?

What is the wallet file name and location?

Thanks!

This question has been answered multiple times in the thread, please do a search. Briefly, if you use windows wallet, backup the folder C:\Users\(yourusername)\AppData\Local\byteball.

I wonder what price will be for one byte? This is one of most honest distributions except for couple of ICO wallets.

1 satoshi like 99% free distribution where you don't have to do nothing to receive free money.
it's free money,so it's free profit. question is if there weill be buyers interested.

Those who want to use byteball, but missed giveaway, will need to buy little amount of bytes to pay fees.

I am sure some people (me included) will buy more byteballs. Since it supports smart contract, it will be interesting to develop some apps on top of it, as in the case of ethereum. It has great future.

Whats the outgoing limit on the address you link?

Sorry, I think you misunderstood me? There is no limit to the distribution. A part of my BTC is frozen on the exchange (because there ist a day limit for withdrawl). I'm such a newbie-fool: I can’t move all my BTC to the distribution – not enough time – crazy shit.. Smiley
But there will be other round..

Its the cumulative balance of all the addresses I link now that I will get credit for?
Eg If I link an address now, but send funds to it before the snapshot time, I will get credit for those BTC too?
or is it the balance when you link it?

I'm having some troubles starting the wallet on kali linux:

This is the last live version (https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases/download/v0.7.1/byteball-linux64.zip)

As you can see I'm starting with ./Byteball

Should I start it with ./byteball.desktop ? I can see that this last one is a bash shell that calls ./Byteball with the parameter "test", so I dont think I should run this since I want to run in the live net.

I installed the wallet on Ubuntu and opened it, and sent the required amount of bitcoin from my Jaxx wallet to the address given by the transition bot.  The bitcoin transaction never confirmed.  Is there a problem sending from a Jaxx wallet?  How do I do it from an electrum wallet since there are multiple bitcoin addresses?  Do I need to sign the transaction?

If you can sign a message with your wallet then you don't  need to send any transactions.
What is required is to get your byteball address from byteball wallet (the bot will instruct you)
Then enter your bitcoin address into byteball wallet
then copy your byteball address without quotes into your BTC wallet

Sign the  pasted byteball address with your btc wallet.
Copy signature from btc wallet and paste into byteball wallet.
This should be confirmed in few minutes.

then you could check here if it is confirmed: http://transition.byteball.org/

Should there be no issues doing the transition via Armory Wallet?

If you can sign a message no.
Actually you could do it with any wallet i think because you have 2 options to do it.

1) send micro transaction per bot instruction from your wallet
2) signing your byteball address with your btc wallet per bot instructions.

You can only be fuc*d if you do not have any BTC and neither your wallet can't sign a message.

I don't think there is a limit, never seen any limits mentioned in the thread posts!
At ends it turns out to be same
if you link 1 address with 20 BTC or 20 addresses with 1 BTC.

I think someone mentioned outgoing transactions limit to make sure exchange address were not being used. Just want to make sure Im under that limit with the address I linked

Unfortunately no! Sad
There only ba giveaway later on:

Check the 1st page.
