Can somebody be so kind and explain to me in layman language how to trade my blackbytes for GBYTE. I have been holding for a few drops and have quiet a few accumulated. Never did the trade though. Months ago when there was no bot to do it I belive I was looking at slack to get a trade going but it seemed so complex I gave up. Would much appreciate it.

Just connect with Freebe.
Or go to the website and click on "pairing" its super easy.

Than you simply type "sell 50g " and it lets you sell your blackbytes for the best market price.

Happy trading.

Thank you very much for this sir, seems simple now. However apparently I have an old byteball wallet version v1.9.0 . Now I have this wallet on a PC I just control remotely since I am travelling and did not touch the byteball wallet for ages. What is the easiest and safest way to update my wallet and not mess something up? I am a newbie in these regards so any help would be much appreciated.

Please make a full Backup and than download the update and install it. Never saw someone loosing anything from an update.

I have a problem with updating to a newest version. I have 1.10.0 and the transition bot doesn't know bech32 address format so i can't add it :/. Do the newest version recognize this format?

To everyone going to Belin.hub why not create a few byteball vouchers at freebe. Top them up with bytes or blackbytes, print them and than hand them out to people?
You can easily check the status and redeem them yourself if they dont get used by the people!

Introducing cool new Feature at Freebe:
Create white- and blackbyte vouchers to introduce ByteBall to newcommers!

With Freebe you now can create voucher codes as give-aways to promote ByteBall to other users. This can be very handy because you don't need to pair up with every user you want to give blackbytes for example!

To create a (White)-Bytes voucher at a certain amount simply type the following command: voucher [amount] [optional: quantity] for the amount you can use any unit, such as "g", "m" or "k". this is an example: voucher 0.05g. It will create one voucher funded with 0.05 GB.

If you want to create a blackbyte voucher you can use the following command: voucherblack 100m 2. This will create 2 vouchers each funded with 100 MBB.

To redeem one of these codes simply type them into the chat window. This is an example:

Ok so let's talk practicality then.  What is needed to get to 100 TPS?  1000?  An increase in the number of full nodes?   Some change in the programming protocol?  I have read up on DAG but have trouble grasping all the technicalities so I don't really understand the mechanism for consensus.

So I'm a bit confused.  I thought the idea behind DAG tech was it scaled better due to lack of a blockchain.  But there's a cap on TPS and such?  I understand the limiting factor in blockchains is the data cap per block (obviously this can be raised but that creates blockchain bloat and node centralization issues).

What is the limiting theoretical factor for scaling DAG?

For DAG, the limiting factor is how fast full nodes can push data into a DB. It may look limited now when you use the current non-optimized implementation on standard hardware, but don't worry, the tech to scale up DB is already available.

Can anyone tell me why price of Byteball should rise up?

I read much about it and I belive that Byteball is udervalued and it will rise soon.

I am asking because it is always better to know more opinions Smiley

Not long time ago people were buying GBYTE because of the airdrops (and were immediately dumping it on Bittrex ) and neglecting the technology completely. Now when airdrops have been put on pause (till march 2018...) people can & will reconsider the coin and its potential. The main goal was to promote Byteball as much as possible among the Bitcoin community (the largest to date) and it was done in a timely manner and smartly. Now its time to explore it and use it properly.

Taking into account only the heavy development work which is ongoing non-stop since launch of the project,  creates trust to this project (check github). Coinmarketcap displays majority ICOs coins with no product whatsoever just WP site (in best case scenario), so ask yourself, when the dust settles with ICOs where the money will go? (90% of them will fail at the end). I personally believe in projects that have a solid foundation, reputation and product of course and Byteball has its all.

P.S. I mentioned only the development, not the actual possibilities of the Byteball  Wink

Yes it makes sense. Thank you! Smiley

I have a question.

I just watched MacOS library of sheer curiosity and in "Default" folder in Byteball Application Support found the following files:

- top sites
- top sites-journal
- visited links
- web data
- web data-journal

Not that I am accusing someone or something, but would the developer or someone smarter than me answer why are they called so and what is their function?

Byteball core and its GUI is coded with a browser language (Javascript). The GUIs use the NW.js framework which is basically a browser software available for multiple platforms. That's why you may found this kind of files related to browsing even if it they are not relevant for Byteball.

Thank you for the explanation.
