Do you think Byteball can compete with IOTA. IOTA has no fees and byteball it has. I think that only for this reason IOTA will always have a suggestion. In addition, the interest of large companies is also on the IOTA side.

IOTA has been hacked.
IOTA has buggeted / spent a lot of money towards marketing.
IOTA doesn't have human readable smart contracts.
- With byteball, I can send pay you xyz GB if you pay ment yzx GBB.   No escrow need and it's easy to do with the client directly and/or via Bots (also within the client).

The only solution I see is to market the product towards a different costumer segment than iota's. Let's take some 'settlement coins' as an example: Ripple targets banks, while Stellar tries to work with private companies like IBM. NEM has a problem similar to Byteball's in the sense that it lacks a unique market (although they are very intersting from a tech standpoint). They do not really compete, granting all three the success they now have.

Disclaimer: I do not own any byteballs (yet)

Isn't byteball better than IOTA on may technical fronts? My concern is that the byteball team does not have the funds or connections to compete with IOTA, any thoughts from someone that knows more about this project?

IOTA is in principle centralized. It could be disadvantage.

A better tech will win in the end no matter what. Did smartphones or laptops need a "better presentation" and promotional campaigns? Of course not. If something works better people will choose to use it and the word will spread like wildfire.

I disagree. Nobody bought blackberry's first 'smartphones' or microsoft's 2002 tablet. It took apple some serious effort to promote their product to a targeted consumer segment. The lackluster (appearing) prsentation skills by Tony could have nefarious effects on the byteball ecosystem. IOTA is far from perfect but their connections and networking potential, make it more attractive for devs to use and deploy on their DAG.

Well explained and absolutely on point. I fear Byteball would need to be far far superior in terms of technology to compete with IOTA on a promising level.

Put 100,000 GBYTE into a Byteball Foundation to use for marketing, corporate outreach, expanding the dev team, etc.

Put 100,000 aside to continue using for cashback merchant program and any other future programs.

Airdrop the rest.

Done.

this is rapidly heading towards becoming my biggest ever crypto loss, but i still think it's the coolest thing in crypto.

i'd love to know what iota are doing to stay where they're at. it's a huge mystery.

Will there be any more distribution rounds happening or has this been put on hold for a while?

On hold until March 2018.

Btw. Byteball is number one next big thing: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2479595.40

Freebe now generates you a printable PDF for your vouchers!
I read this post a few days ago, but didn't get to check it out yet.

First: may I ask you who you are? Cheesy Are you "just one person"? Are you a team? Are you an old member here who created a new account just for this?
I'm impressed, and curious! I think you've managed to stop the price drop of Blackbytes, and it has even gone up since it can be exchanged.

Vouchers are a popular advertising medium in this business. Anyway, I hope your work pays off for you.
It would be a great gimmick at the back of business cards.

Meanwhile IOTA is bubbling up to 30 times Byteball's market cap. I've read the rebranding-suggestion before, and I now start to agree.
Tony is smart, very smart. But presentations like this won't convince the general public to start using Byteball.
I've noticed it before on literally every ICO-website: the same design and style, the same animations, the same BS slogans and buzzwords, but many people buy it.
The first woman who asks a question in this presentation sounds much better. English is not Tony's native language, which makes it many times more difficult to have a convincing story.
I'm not trying to burn Tony here (I for sure couldn't be a better job myself, no question there), I like his creation a lot, and I'm convinced it has a great future, but I think it needs to be presented to the general public in a different way.

So I really like the idea of doing an airdrop every full moon it's awesome but I was just wondering what is the concept of the full moon with byteball why are the two related I see the application has a full moon as it's icon other than that I don't really understand can anyone tell me?

I think it's just supposed to play on the cryptocurrency moon meme.

lol oh ok, what is the cryptocurrency moon meme I've never seen it can you post it?

I mean, a meme isn't just a picture with words. Just how phrases like "to the Moon" are pervasive on this forum and elsewhere cryptocurrency is discussed.

come and vote here

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/the-only-alts-that-are-real-projects-here-current-july-2018-poll-2479595

also if you can keep discussion going on this thread it will benefit this project because it is one of a handful of REAL projects as defined by the OP in that thread.

Keeping this attention to real projects will obviously filter the field of view of new persons looking for REAL projects among the masses of dreams and talk promises and fantasies that other projects are providing.

so post on that thread when and often as you can
