This is a good coin with many nice features, I think dev should promote it more, so more people will know it.

It's funny how every single thread in this forum is literally spammed with "omg, why did price fall so much?". Are people really not seeing the exchanges ?

what happened to byteball price? seems keep going down, any negative news on the coin?

It seems like It's mostly affected by the FUD around BTC and 1st August. Most people want more fiat in hand to buy back into the markets incase there are serious dips around that date. my 2sats.

I don't think what you said is true. Bitcoin is at a pretty high price, which is maybe 10-15% off its high, but byteball is at less than 50% of its high, something not right...

Let's see this wise man. So BB is 50% off it's high, aha, ever heard about ethereum ? yes ? well, it's also 50% off it's high.
#3 ever saw Ripple ? it's 72% off it's high
#6 dash ? 37% off it's high.
#11 stratis ? 63% off it's high

Are you people really this dumb or just want to decrease the price further with this FUD ?

I don't get why people post these dumb things, you know how much these coins you cited run up? As compared to how much gbytes? The fact is, gbyte did drop a lot recently, as compared to others, people simply asked the question, and have same question, isn't that normal?

I just heard this horrible news that this is the last byteball round? before I heard it is until december, but now a friend told me on 7. august is the last airdrop.  Huh
This is false and troll.
August cannot be the last round because all the GBYTE will not be distributed before at least 3 months.

that is false.  if you can add, it's easy to verify that august 7 is not the last airdrop.

but i see on website nothing distribution planing after 7 august.
how to see the next distribution after 7 august ?

If you mean when it occurs then that's every full moon. If you mean the timer on the BB site showing how long until the next airdrop after this upcoming one then wait until this one is done.

I don't follow. Could you reiterate?

the price of byteball will be the same in dollars or bitcoins. it doesn't make any difference. the btc/usd exchange rate sets the price of byteball too because byteball is priced in btc.

Hmm, I see what you're saying. They're really are really interrelated and now you point it out, I realize that was confusing my calculations.  Grin

so if the place you're talking about is charging 200 bucks more all you're doing is giving them 200 bucks. you have hundreds of options to buy bitcoin and then buy byteball. it sounds like these guys are price gouging for the honor of buying it directly in dollars.

the only reason it's like that is because of their blatant profiteering. a real market rate would be no different in bitcoin or dollars.

and i've just checked the price there. it's actually over 30% more than the market rate. screw them and screw that. buy bitcoin at coinbase or wherever and go to bittrex.

Indeed. I also checked their price for BTC just to see how expensive they are and it was over $4K/BTC, and based on this article, you're likely to get less than the 1 BTC you expected at that already outrageous price.

hope price will recover, it's a nice coin and I am going to hold it for longer term.

All alt crypto on selling side because everyone want to keep bitcoin before 1st Aug.
So they will get their part of Bitcoin Cash. Otherwise normally when btc price around all time high.
Crypto don't go low. But this event is unique let it pass and it will recover.

Does it mean many people think the BCC will not be useless?

It means people want to have as much BTC as possible so they can be first in line to dump BCC. I just hope it will not go below 1$ in the first 10 minutes, otherwise it was all for nothing but I'm pretty sure it will collapse very fast, just imagine if 100k BCC will be dumped, that will collapse the price to <1$. (I imagine 90%+ of all BCC will be sold, so in the ballpark of 15million but there won't be enough buy orders to dump into)

There won't even be 15mil BTC that are actually available and in circulation.
Consider those in cold storage, those with lost private keys, those belonging to people who have died etc etc.

If 90% of people decided to sell it would be a miracle. The blockchain would be backed up for months with the millions of transactions!

Since this was really my question...

This is probably a very noobie question but is there a place GB can be bought for fiat directly? From CMC I see Changelly but 1 GB is 630 USD, that's 200 USD more, and while Bittrex seems to match up nicely, BTC costs quite a lot now.

dude, the price is going to be the same in dollars or btc. they're all interrelated. you don't get a discount with a different currency.

there are tons of options to buy btc and most are better than changelly.

Is now a good time to buy byteballs? Anybody expecting it to go further down? I haven't seen the price going this low, since I heard about byteballs.

It fell below $330 some days after the last airdrop so it has gone pretty low.

I guess it is, usually the price starts to go up in the days before the airdrop, which is any moment now again.

I will do the conversion to BTC first and then buy byteballs. Right now may not be the right time to do the conversion though. I am hoping BTC to go down after August 1st.

no idea why you thinking like that, this mean people want free money, after they get their BCC it will be a huge dump for BCC, dont worry byte price will recover
