should I upgrade to 1.9.0 to receive bytes?

You should upgrade, but first back-up your wallet.
You will receive your bytes regardless of upgrade but the upgrade solved my problem with synchronizing.

I guess people don't know about compound interest or they are just not interested in the project Smiley

Let them have money for short term gambling. Byteball will grow and grow and we will have a proper stake  Grin

What about this? It is very deceitful and honestly just seems like fraud to me.
Please tell me how I am deceiving anybody, because I don't see it:

nothing wrong with that at all, but i don't get why anyone would do that or make their balances known for the sake of saving a few seconds of effort. well done for making some money out of it. that's weird.

Finally the dumping seems to start Wink

you really have to be desperate or greedy if you sell your byteballs. why not just take the gift an keep it.

You're nuts! I can do this without you and earn more!
Yes. You are absolutely right.
I know at least some people joined on their own after seeing my thread, with many times more Bitcoins than I'll ever see. So if anything, I've increased awareness about Byteball.

It looks ok to me. Business as usual. I don't like that in order to pay them he is going to sell the byteballs inmediately but anyways its according to the rules.
I'll hold 20%, sell 80. I was actually thinking to change that in the future, so I don't sell instantly but wait a few weeks. I don't think many people like waiting though, especially for the first time I'm doing this. I could make it optional next time.
Until now I've never sold any Byteball btw, just holding.

On the other hand, calling fraud something that isn't is not good behaviour.
Thanks! I is not my intention to do anything bad.

pro tip - remove your buy orders. let it fall and rebuy cheap in about 2 weeks
let's get very cheap free bytes from those who are on it just for the free money

what happen if I put my btc address with a byteball address, but then I change my wallet and put the same btc address? I will receive byte only in the last one?

If you link one BTC address to multiple ByteCoin addresses you will receive nothing at all. That is to prevent the attack I described above. You should move your BTC to a new address and link that to just one ByteCoin address.

Man you were wrong I've just received my bytes Cheesy

I really doubt he is wrong.   Prove your claim by giving up the BTC addy and/or the 2x Byteball addresses.

Good job!
I hope there are still many distribution rounds, specially to people holding byteballs, to encourage people to get some more.
But still of course, getting everyone with BTC to link the address and receive byteballs is a genius move!

Several more rounds.
Many people getting their free balls and dumping on the market now.  Soon you have an opportunity to guy them up cheaply in wait for the next distro.

so i got the message twice but account got credited just once? normal?

also no blackbytes in my account???

btw what are blackbytes used for? are those sold on exchanges? just got into byteball with this distribution, sorry for the noob question. Smiley

How many times were you hoping to get paid on the BTC you hold?

BB typically is done by the next day.  BBytes are private transactions.   Probably best to read the whitepaper.

I'm a miner not a minor.
I didn't know how to sign a message from cold storage but I'm figuring it out for next time. I'd suggest others dothe same if they're in the same boat as me!

As long as you have your private keys you can either use something like the Electrum wallet (offline) by importing your key and signing and then sign a message with that address. Or if you are technically minded you can use the python bitcoin lib for example and sign a message with that:
