I'm glad to introduce the Snail Coin Toss

It's a 51/49 coin toss that you can play directly with a bot, it doesn't require your trust since a smart-contract is used.

Pair your device with the bot: AlC854WVi7kHvTn0z6k4i7/[email protected]/bb#R and go to chat.

Bot asks you the amount you want to bet, your address and send you a payment request to a smart address like this:

There are four possibilities for spending the smart address.

1. if the random oracle generates a number < 49000 and if you properly made the payment, then it's you who can spend the smart-address.

2. if the random oracle generates a number >= 49000, then the bot can sweep the money back.

3. if you didn't pay to the address, then the bot can sweep the money back.

4. you can spend the smart-address if it was already spent, it's a security in case you make a payment to the smart-address after the bot has swept the address for any reason. It's not translated by GUI in an human-readable way yet, it will done in next versions.

The random oracle uses a BTC block with 2 confirmations to generate a random number, that's why you have to wait an undefined time before knowing the result.

For now, the bet amount is limited at 1MB. I will increase the limit later.

Have fun !

What date was the last distribution and what happened in the market. I don't see any major drops on the chart that weren't followed by a fairly quick correction.

Some dump, some want to buy more. The market is quite balanced.

Yes. People are divided between those who accumulated early and now selling to buy back cheaper and those who want byteballs because they didn't knew about early enough.

20 x 62.5 = 1250 Mbytes

they are trading at ~0.3 btc per Gbytes

I'm not very sure but if we follow 1024 MB as 1 GB
you would have a pretty decent amount of BTC on selling them

Likely to be less when everyone dumps however. Not sure if I should try to get there first, or hang on until before the next distribution for a pump.

English is not my first language so I'm still refining it.

May I ask you which kind of bot are you developing mister devrobot ?

sorry for the confusing name, but I'm not developing any bot for byteball. The concept is very interesting though.

Hello, I'm new here.
Tired of replying to everyone on 4chan when advertising this, I decided to create a small tutorial.
Also since the air drop is approaching, I thought it would help as many people as possible.
I hope I didn't break any rule! (The formatting looks better on the website)

https://byteballblog.wordpress.com/

I will also post the content here of course:

How to get free Byteballs
If you don’t know what cryptocurrencies are, there are other sources out there. If you do, proceed with the rest of this guide.

What do you mean FREE Byteballs?

Byteball is using a very uncommon distribution model. The coins are already pre-mined, and the creator is distributing them in monthly “airdrops”. So everybody can get some byteballs.

Why is the creator giving them away for free?

Because the key for a coin to succeed is its distribution. The more people own the coin, the more it is used, and the more successful it becomes.

So why do I care about this particular cryptocurrency?

Besides the fact that you can get some for literally free, this coin has some very good technology embedded into the wallet software itself. Here is the whitepaper (https://byteball.org/Byteball.pdf) for the technology used (a long, but good read). Other good stuff about it:
– Conditional payments (pay if certain condition is met)
– P2P payments in chat
– Betting on the market
– Chatbots
– Untraceable currency (black bytes)
– A bunch of other things. (check out their website https://byteball.org/ )

How many will I receive?

– 0.062 GBytes for each 1 BTC
– 0.2 Bytes for each 1 Byte in your wallet
– 0.062 x 2.1111 black bytes for each 1 BTC
– 0.42222 black bytes for each Byte in your wallet

OK, tell me how to get free byteballs

There are 2 ways to get your free byteballs, and you can do both of them.
Depending on how many Bitcoins you own, or depending on how many GBytes (Byteball currency) you own.

1. For both of these ways, you first need to download the wallet from their site https://byteball.org/#download.

2. Install the wallet. Full or light versions are both ok, but the full version will take longer to sync.

3. Click this link to talk to the transition chatbot (this should open a chat in the byteball wallet) https://byteballblog.wordpress.com/[email protected]/bb#0000

4. The chatbot asks you to tell him your byteball address, you can just click on the “…” menu, and insert the address there. Send it to the bot.

5. Now the bot will tell you to SEND BITCOINS TO HIM, don’t do this!, there is a free way to do it.

How to link your Bitcoins:

– You need to know which address has your BTC.
– You need to have your BTC in your own wallet, not in an exchange.
– You can’t link your BTC address to more than one byteball address, or that BTC address will get banned.
– You don’t need to send BTC to link it.
– After you do a BTC transfer, your address might change, so make sure everything is correctly setup before the air drop.

1. Find out which address has your BTC (Skip to step 5 if you already know)
2. In the bitcoin core wallet, go to Settings -> Options… -> Wallet, and Enable coin control features
3. Go to the Send tab, and click on “Inputs…”
4. This will show you which address own how much BTC, copy and paste those addresses in a text file somewhere, we will need those.
5. Now you need to tell the bot the address you will link, just paste the BTC address and send it.
6. Now you need to sign a message. In the Bitcoin core wallet, go to File -> Sign message…
7. As address, add the one with your BTC balance (it might not show up in the little contact book icon)
8. For the content of the message, just add your Byteball address (nothing else)
9. Click on “Sign message”
10. Copy and paste that signature into the chat.
11. repeat from step 5 for all the Bitcoin address that have BTC in your wallet.
12. The bot should tell you if it was linked correctly.
13. If you have more problems, the best place to ask is the thread in bitcointalk https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1608859.9160

How to get Byteballs for your Byteballs:

– (Apparently) You need to link a BTC address, even wit 0 BTC, if you want to receive black bytes.
– After you send Bytes, your address might change, make sure everything is correctly set up before the air drop.

If you have talked to the bot already in the previous steps, just send all your byteballs to your byteball address, that’s it.

To make sure the process is working, and to know how many byteballs and black bytes you will receive, use this website https://byteball.fr/BBdistribution.php.

No, shortly after the distribution you can move your Bitcoins. You do not hold it until the next distribution. Short before the next distribution you can move your Bitcoins back to the linked address in order the get another free Byteballs. Such questions have been asked several times. Please use Google before posting here your question.

Hello, i still confused with this things.

Which one btc wallet I need to use since we cant use exchanger wallet

and say I have 1 btc on my wallet, and after drop I use my btc , and when drop comes next month I added again 1 btc or more to my wallet , can I do that or I need to hold my btc forever in my wallet in case to get airdrop ?

Thanks

You need to put your BTC on your linked address at the time of the distribution. Between distributions, you can do whatever you want with them.

And do not forget to link your Byteballs to the specific Byteball address which is given in the bot to receive free BlackBytes as well.
Normally your Byteballs are stored on several addresses which are showed summarized as your balance. But BlackBytes are only credited if the Bytes are stored on this specific given address.

If we buy byteball and send those byteballs to our wallet, will we get the 20% stake?

Yes, you still need to link a BTC address (even empty) to get also BlackBytes (an anonymous asset).
