OK guys: whales, pump, dump, airdrop... what will be the value of your balls AFTER the distribution completed (that is to say 1,000,000GBytes are distributed)?

Right know you can get 1 GB for 16 BTC linked... thats a good price for the future, 1 GB = 16 BTC

Byteball is clearly better innovation than Ethereum. The only thing stopping Byteball from dethroning ETH right now is the denial of Ethereum fanboys. Thankfully it is not the current investors of cryptocurrencies that we need to care about. They are all clinging to their pet projects and pumping that crap (dash, monero, eth pumpers). The gamechanger will be the new people who are right now being drawn into cryptos. They seek for undervalued coins such as byteball and they are not going to invest in an already inflated market such as ETH. Since cryptos as a whole is still a very small market the vast majority of people are still yet to join cryptos. Those numbers will dwarf the communities of Bitcoin and Ethereum. The new generation of cryptocurrency enthusiasts are not biased towards any existing crypto so they will simply join Byteball because BB has simply so much better fundamentals than any other coins. And finally the eth fanboys see their get-rich-quick scheme slowly bleeding while byteball drinks the blood of Ethereum, they will then admit being wrong just like those who bought into pets.com before the dotcom crash.

Yess, Byteball is a superior coin that will push all the shitcoins aside and crash into the top5.
At the same time, capital around the world is desperately chasing high returns driven by low interest rates.
Once the Wall St. money pours into crypto, every half-legitimate coin will go to da moon and h0dlers of Byteball will be in for a journey to the next galaxy  Grin

What is a current size of byteball.sqlite file of a full synced wallet?

My current one is 3,559,501,824 bytes and I'm still syncing. The program shows about 85-90% progress of "new units". However, that may be not accurate since I've restarted the program twice and every time it started from 0. I hope that upon restart it didn't remove previously synced data. So, I suspect the real syncing pgrogress should be at 90-95%. Syncronizing lasts for 5 days.

Is it also possible to copy this database (byteball.sqlite) to another machine, so that machine will not spend days for syncing? If yes, should the other machine have the same wallet(s) to be able to use the database?

Don't have access to the database right now, but the numbers seem coherent. As you said the progress concerns new units, so each time you'll start it, it will start from 0 but that just means it started downloading new units, old units are still there.

Yes you can use the backup option within the wallet and export the backup on another machine (it's supposed to be cross-platform) and yes full wallets backup works with full wallets only and light backup with light wallets only.

That's light wallets are for.

[reminder]

Beware of change addresses in your BTC wallet AND in your byteball wallet for the next distribution round!
Byteball distribution companion helps you.

          Is you address properly linked?
Is your linked BTC balance what you expected?
Are all your bytes on your byteball linked address?
          How much will you receive?

+Bookmark. Once distribution has started you can follow in near real time when bytes arrive in your wallet. Enjoy!
So i withdrew my bytes to my Byteball wallet but when I put the address in the link it says:

"Warning! This address is NOT linked! You will receive 199,600,000 bytes and NO Blackbytes"

Is that in reference to my bitcoin? I'm still receiving the bytes for my Gbyte holding right?  Are no Blackbytes being given this round?

You have to move all your bytes to a linked byteball address <--> BTC address if you want to get Blackbytes (any BTC address, even an empty one).

Are there any other coins like byteball that you get coins based on your Bitcoin holdings?

Is there also exchange for the blackbytes or are they secret coins? What will the blackbytes be used for?

For the time being, blackbytes are exchanged only OTC on Slack channels. For them to be listed on an exchange, some development needs to be done (developing a bot for deposits/withdrawals for instance), nobody until now bothered to do it. Blackbytes are private untraceable assets, you are the only one who knows your balance, and the one you exchange them with only knows the details of that transaction (and your pairing code), they are meant to be used as a private peer-to-peer currency.

hi, there is no way to use for example coinbase for the airdrop?

Coinbase, under the advanced menu, allows you to sign an address.  So you should be able to participate with your coins held at Coinbase.  However, when I tried it, it didn't work for me, so I moved my coins outta there!

As to linking wallets, it does not matter how many you have, you are linking addresses.

yeah it doesn't work......but for 62 mgb/ 1 btc It's not worth moving everything

I totally agree it is best time for everyone to keep collecting as many tokens as someone can using bitcoin or bytes/blckbytes. I am convinced this project is going to turn into something very important. Developer(s) just dropping right things at best suitable time. Holding is only option to come out as big winner in the end. This year is remarkable for crypto especially for unique and different things like byteball project as whole.

edit : how can i sync my wallet fast ...please need help.

Full wallet sync is way too slow.
Can I download byteball.sqlite somewhere by http or as torrent?
is it possible to use it this file taken from another wallet?

Syncing depends on your bandwidth and on the load of the hub you are using, you may have to try a hub other than the default one to see if it speeds up things. There's ByteFan's hub, (check out https://byteball.fr for the nearest location). Having said that, syncing still remains slow, so maybe use the light wallet instead.

I just downloaded the wallet and successfully linked my btc addy although I don't have much btc in there. A friend said to me it's best to buy some BYTES to hold then I will receive 0.2 worth in the snapshot..I know the price is high now but for future reference it's good to buy and just hold long term correct?

yes, it is correct

Thank you kindly for explanation. I am Qi's Husband and she just showed me your new technology. We managed to purchase a nominal amount form Bittrex exchange and they went to the lite wallet very fast. Is there also exchange for the blackbytes or are they secret coins? What will the blackbytes be used for?

This means that it detects that the Byteball address you entered is not linked (to any Bitcoin address), so you will receive bytes but blackbytes are distributed only to linked addresses. If you want blackbytes, you should link that Byteball address (or if you have one that's already linked, move your funds there).

Better accumulate byteballs right now :-)

And later when cryptos will turn into a bear market because of ETH&tokens bubble burst.

Good point. Could be indeed.
