Hi,

I have few questions regarding this new distribution if someone can help me to clear my doubts.

1) Is there any minimum BTC account balance condition to get byteball or to take part in new distribution???

2) After linking our byteball and bitcoin addresses for how many days(time) we need to keep our balance of BTC???I mean can we use our bitcoin after linking addresses or after we get byteball???
3) How many bytes or byteball we get for 1 bitcoin in account???

regards
riyaz

1) I don't think so.
2) YOu need to keep the balances until the snapshot takes place... after you get your byteballs to make sure.
3) 0.0625 or 1 GBYTE for each 16BTC.

1. There is no minimum
2. You need to hold until snapshot, after snapshot you can sell
3. For 1 btc you get 0.0625 GB

Hello,

- I have some BTC which i want to use to collect byteball. How do i do that?

Cheers!

You really need to read OPs before diving in. However, since it's 3 days to the next distribution, here's a quick fix for now. Please read byteball.org when you get the time!

1. You need to link the BTC address where your balance is at to your byteball.
2. Open the wallet you installed, and chat with the transition bot: byteball:[email protected]/bb#0000

Follow instructions. Basically, you either spend a small amount OR you send a signed msg (I did this) from the BTC address you want linked.

I can't think of any legit reason to kick him either but my dreams of untold riches from byteball just went up in smoke! Cheesy

It looks to me like the scam on facebook posted a bunch of unrelated large addresses to try to make themselves look bigger than they were whereas in fact they were a tiny failure of a scam.

The scam operated in October 2016, whereas the whale address has had its 53k BTC for many years, long before the scam happened.

I don't see why one whale claiming a trillion byteballs would affect the market any differently than a thousand uses claiming a billion byteballs each. It all depends on whether he/they hold or dump their coins.

dooglus is the 53k whale wallet confirmed Cheesy

Hi all,

In the wallet, were is the private key, what is it name (not see anywere the word "private key" ?
Not found any private key in parameters -> advanced parameters -> wallet informations.

What is the procédure to backup all the informations of the wallet to be able to restore it from scratch ?

Thanks

The private key is the seed.

Backup from the wallet backup tool in "settings" then "full backup".

I have a small Expenses Wallet. What is the procedure to restore this in another computer or wallet?

Isn't 50,000 BTC only equivalent to 3000 byteball?

Yep... 3000 for next round... 3600 for next... 4300 next... etc... It's some serious money and a pretty good reason not to do something dumb like directly dumping the market.

Been said before. Not that easy to just dumb this. Slow bleeding is needed or otc trade. otherwise he will move market badly.

I, for one, vote for these claims to be investigated, and if true, banned from linking.

how the hell did such an obvious scam get so much money?

yes, they should be kicked.

Look at address history: https://blockchain.info/address/1LdRcdxfbSnmCYYNdeYpUnztiYzVfBEQeC
It received 53,880 BTC in 2014 then only some dust. It looks more like a joke from someone who has nothing to do with this address than a scam.

Maybe I am missing something. But it looks to me as a cold wallet of some BIG holder. The signature is valid so why kick him?

I can't think of any legit reason to kick him either but my dreams of untold riches from byteball just went up in smoke! Cheesy

Maybe the joke is on us?  Price already dropping.  Kudos to him!

As I have mentioned before most whales are not kamikaze dumpers... If they were, they wouldn't be whales for long. Also, you must take into consideration that Byteball market has not yet enough depth to do a proper cash out when it comes with HUGE amounts. Also, a rich holder probably doesn't need to cash out right now.... and it would take forever considering withdrawal limits on most exchanges.

The most probable outcome is that they just hold the byteballs, maybe even play a little with the market to see what his new asset can do and then just add it to his long term cryptocurrency assets. And if some day the market evolves well enough, maybe then sell his stash OTC to a new whale.

Of course, he could do whatever he wants with his byteballs. That's how property works. But the ages of dumb whales with more Bitcoins than common sense are (almost) a thing of the past. Those got left behind.

Gonna try this as well.

Perhaps it is a good idea to show the location of the backup file in the App when finalising a backup of the Android Wallet?

Well, it did go up a lot in the past week(s). But I noticed the same, it started dropping at about the same time this address joined.
At the price he joined at, he's looking at $3 million in Byteball on Friday. It's a flaw in the way the airdrop works, but I can't think of any way to prevent the huge windfall to rich Bitcoin holders either.

Imagine this scenario:
If one person (let's call him whale) gets enough bytes to sell through all buy support at bittrex, it can potentially decimate the price. That would be an opportunity for others to buy cheaper bytes, but we all know the whale will get the same amount next month. If the price goes up, he'll dump again, making it a very bad investment, so there's a strong motivation against buying.

This is of course pure speculation, and a whale didn't become a whale by dumping his Bitcoins. He could very well HOLD his bytes too. The problem is: we can't know what he's going to do. All we know is one guy gets a much larger share than even the creator. Tony gets a very moderate 1% of all bytes. In my opinion, the modesty of the developer is more or less wasted if whales get a larger share.
If its not bitcoins made from scam, if it is indeed just his bitcoins sprinkled by spiteful/jelly people with dust, play on, game is same for everyone. Cheap bytes for all. Thank you whale!

quick question: Will i recieve free bytes for GBYTES stored in my mobile wallet on June 9th if i havent linked a btc address??

is anyone concerned that the top address linked for redemption is probably an exchange?? will that dump the price after the distribution??

which address is it ?
does anyone know which exchange ?
If it is referring to the address on the top of the richlist, those are coins that will be distributed.
