Even though some may wish to convert their GBB to GB for the airdrops, which I understand.  Selling them at the advertised rates seems painfully short sighted.  I suspect that with some time and adoption there will be significant increases and a stable market for them.

Just my 2 cents.

Where can I buy some blackbyteball?

i have somewhere between 560-600 giga blackbytes (GBB). looking to trade them for straight byteball GB.
IF YOU're interested please pm me with your offer / amount and terms of trade. im looking at whole GBB trades not parts of GBB. obviously id prefer to sell bigger chunks at a time

anyone got the current blackbyte price used to sell presently? wanting to onow rough prices to trade my gbb

The highest bids on byteball.slack.com:

Quote
0.05 GB/GBB   |   0.5 GB   |   10.0 GBB   |   @joniboy
0.04 GB/GBB   |   20.0 GB   |   500.0 GBB   |   @bluedude
0.04 GB/GBB   |   12.0 GB   |   300.0 GBB   |   @pop
0.04 GB/GBB   |   1.0 GB   |   25.0 GBB   |   @duke

Mind that nobody seems to be able to reach @joniboy for that order ..., so let's say it's 0.04 GB/GBB.

On ydx.slack.com, the latest trades were at 0.006 BTC/GBB.

Where can I buy some blackbyteball?

Trade with other users in p2p chat (pair up with someone in the wallet chat) and make a smart contract based on agreement what the trade is for whether for Gbytes / Blackbytes, or whatever. You can see prices offered in the slack blackbyte trading channel

I never received blackbytes from last distribution. I'm 100% certain I had properly linked a BTC adress with BTC in it, and a Byteball adress with Bytes in it. I confirmed this with the transition bot.

[...]

Everything seems okay on your side. Generally, there are always people missing blackbytes from the distribution, some cases of non distribution still remain unknown though (afaik). Do you remember doing anything uncommon with your wallet? Regardless of the cause, given the fact that all seems well set, you'll have to contact Tony so that he can re-send the blackbytes.

Thanks for your answer.

Prior to the distribution, I did a full backup in my windows wallet. Then installed android wallet and loaded from backup. Then tried to connect both devices via the "add a new device" option. It didn't seem to work. Maybe I screwed something up doing this?

I think i prefer to lose my blackbytes rather than bothering the main developer with newbie problems =)

You are welcome.

So you ran two wallets with the same data at the same time (one on your computer and one on your phone). Cases like this where users loaded from back up and had two devices running on the same data have been reported to affect blackbytes' distribution.

On one hand, it would be beneficial for Byteball to report those cases in order to try and prevent them from happening in the future. On the other, re-sending the blackbytes is as simple as clicking on re-send private payloads button in the specific transaction that sent to your address Wink (only Tony can do that).

...
Good table, except the 1st round distribution is a lot more than 62.5 MB/BTC, I don't remember how much, but *a lot* more.

Not sure but I believe it was close to 1 GBYTE per 1 BTC linked.

Distribution forecast

The exact number of rounds can’t be predicted.
This depends on two factors:
1.   The number of linked BTCs in each additional round (BTC Power)
2.   The compound interest rate in the distribution of the bytes (interest power -> currently 20%)

sample calculation

Good table, except the 1st round distribution is a lot more than 62.5 MB/BTC, I don't remember how much, but *a lot* more.

Yes, but if anyone buy byteball just for the day of distribution, in order to get the 20%  Huh
I think that would not be clever (sample calculation):

I am currently busy with Byteball and have the following unanswered questions. I would be grateful if someone could answer this.

1) What exactly is the use case behind the profiles and attestations? Notarization?

2) The witnesses define the main chain. Does this mean that the main chain is rebuilt when witnesses change?

3) Are newly distributed bytes directly referenced to the genesis block?

4) How many Blackbytes will there be in total? Like Bytes 10^5?

Now it is even more profitable to keep coins, because every month you can get an additional 20%. Who counted how much you can earn if you buy coins now for 10 bitcoins?

In theory it would be enough keeping a big amount of Byteball in the day of distribution, in order to get 20% of amount, right?

Ofc there's the option to just buy Byteballs and keep them in your wallet, and you don't have to do anything, you automatically get bytes from the distribution Wink
