Both ODI's are in Queen's Park Oval, Trinidad and weather there is expected to be cloudy during the 2nd ODI and chances of rain during the 3rd ODI. I hope atleast one match happens to decide the series otherwise lots of questions will be raised if the whole series is washed by rain itself.

I am very happy to see Gayle reverse his retirement call in order to provide us more entertainment value although he seems to be out of form from quite sometime. Hoping he will recover his form soon.

LOL what was wrong with Gayle? i Just noticed that he scored only 4 runs from 31 balls. This is not the real Gayle :-P By the way, this was his 299th ODI. quite a record for the legend.

This was his slowest ODI innings ever, and from the beginning of the innings Gayle was struggling with the bowlers. Equaled the record with Brian Lara playing 299th ODI and missed the record of the leading run scorer for West Indies. 300th match will be big for him setting a new record as he's just 11 runs away.

Gayle is now playing just for formality and trying to complete his 300ODI's otherwise I believe he is not good enough as he was few years back he is going down day by day need to do some rest or enjoy just 20/twenty leagues for fun like Hashim Amla who is already announces retirement from all formats and now concentrating only domestic cricket.

I was out and could not watch any single ball. Now seeing it's raining and it's heaver now. I do not think they have reserve day. So I highly doubt there will be even a 20 over match. Okay for WI but I do not think India will be happy about it.

Rain again ruined the game. It may reduce to 20 overs now and this will make it even more tough for India to even chase. Hope the game gets cancelled if they reduce it further as I don't want India to lose now. They should have chosen to bat first.

I am expecting West Indies to end up somewhere close to 160 even though Lewis is striking well at the moment. The rain affected the pitch and this could make it tricky for the Indian batsmen making 160 competitive in my opinion.

India will probably take this one easily as long as they don't play loose shots and build steady partnerships. Sticking to Lewis seems to have paid off for West Indies currently.

I wanted this to be a 50 overs game but now it's reduced to 34. Today Lewis seems in a better form and Gayle is taking it easy.

Edit: Gayle gone...Looks like he took it too easy Cheesy

I think they could make 150-160 runs because more would make it tough for Indian players who start chasing in the last 10 overs.

Well they are planning to develop some fresh talents for future. They are handing over a lot of chances to young talent in this tour. Hopefully we will have someone showing promising signs.

It's good to rest out regular faces especially when you are not against a good side.

@JSRAW you have updated here correctly it’s indeed reduced to 43 overs, but considering how weak West Indies are in ODI cricket I would not be surprised if India bowl them out before 43 overs. It seems to me that India’s captain Virat wishes to add to his record of chasing and winning matches. Resting Bumrah is a not a bad decision as he’s their star bowler, and he should be rested more often to have him fit for more important tournaments.

Yeah, he is back and adding extra power in current bowling line up. i feel the same that Windies are not capable of giving any tough fight but if it happens then its not good for cricket.

Sikhar's come back is good for India. He is one of the most experienced fella in the squad. Poor him that he had to leave WC campaign for the injury.

From Indian side Sikhar is back as an opener, Bumrah, Spin Twins are back as well ( only one play because Jadeja is also in the squad) Still testing time for Middle order.
