This is pretty obvious. India won the World Cup the last time they hosted it in their country back in 2011 thanks to MSD and his team. Expectations will be really high from them once the next World Cup commences.

Sri Lanka has less than 60 runs remaining with 7 wickets in hand. Still 13 overs left in the game and Srilanka can easily win this match.

That's really nice. You know how much Indian supporters came in last world cup matches of India. It was hard to locate other team fans. Hopefully being in home will change things for India in next world cup. Plus they will have an advantage of having good knowledge about their pitches so that's a good plus. Hope that they capitalize the chance well in next WC.

Thought of placing a bet earlier on Bangladesh, but decided not to later on and it was a good thing I didn't. Absolutely disappointing stuff. This current team seems completely different when compared to the team that played in the World Cup.

I think its time to give new players a shot at improving the lineup in my opinion. The current lineup continues to disappoint.

I think they are missing Shakib here. He was making a lot of runs and other players were just hanging around himself but since he is not playing for Bangladesh, there batting line up is all exposed. Mushfiqur has a lot of responsibility now to take his team further till the 40th over without losing any more wickets.

I thought Bangladesh could have shown a better performance especially when Malinga is not playing for Srilanka today. Undecided

Another poor performance from Tamim as well as the whole team, 52/3. How this batting line up has turned into such poor, lol. Soumya as well as not have a good form for a long time. I think change is now must. I am not sure what's the current performance of Anamul Haque, this guy wasn't able to play after going off for an injury. Bangladesh team management isn't doing a proper job, to be honest.

What I am saying is, try him in 4th or 5th position. Since he is the captain now, he can easily take him down to one of those position. Tamim needs a change. He is a very good batsman no doubt.

By the way, we will see how he performs today too. The 2nd ODI is going to start in an hour I think.

Check howstat, in ODI, TEST, T20- he had played one match other than OPENING position, in 5th in a test match. This is stupid. I too think changing position would bring great result.

This is a good idea and the Bangladesh team needs to consider this. His batting average as I mentioned earlier is pretty low for an opening batsman and he would fit well in the number 4 position in my opinion.

Also, moving Mahmudullah up the order would be a smart move since I feel its a waste of talent letting him play down the order.

I missed that part, earlier I made a reply to Hanabue, I think there's only one player who never played other than OPENING position despite his worst form. Does this make any sense? He has played 202 ODI, and in all of this match, he played in OPENING position. I have no problem with him playing despite his off form, but at least changing position might give the team better opportunity.
I'm 99% sure he did the same in other format, can't remember though.

Allowing a player to give time is good. Players can have off form and if the team does not support them in their hard time and replace them in the squade then it creates extra pressure for the players. Tamim is lucky that he has not faced it. But everything should have a boundary line. Seems like he is at the edge of this line.

He was not performing well and on top of it they made him captain. This is huge responsibility for a player. We have seen player like Sachin could not handle it. The board can observe one or two more match to allow Tamim to come back but if he can't then I think they need to find an alternative and I think in this Bangladesh team there are plenty of batsman who can replace him.

Bangladesh team needs to find some good bowlers and this seems the hardest part for their management.

If I am not wrong then Sarkar is not even a strike bowler but he is taking crucial wickets in matches. The entire Bangladesh team really needs to find some good bowlers.
