Charith Asalanka and Pathum Nissanka's impeccable partnership when the Sri Lankan team was on the way to victory, Bangladesh bowlers were helpless as they could not get them out. Then I remember the world's best all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan. It seemed that if Shakib Al Hasan, the world's best all-rounder, could have played in today's match, he would have broken the partnership of the two, and Shakib Al Hasan could have taken the wicket in the difficult times of Bangladesh. However, there was no shortage of efforts by Bangladeshi bowlers. But maybe the luck of Bangladesh did not cooperate. Due to which Bangladesh had to lose the match won against Sri Lanka. However, in the third one-day match, who will win the one-day series, Bangladesh or Sri Lanka? If Bangladesh wants to win, Bangladesh's opener batsmen must bat responsibly. If the openers of Bangladesh cannot bat responsibly, the series like the T20 series will be lost from Bangladesh.
Charith Asalanka and Pathum Nissanka played well together and helped Sri Lanka win against Bangladesh. By the way Shakib was not playing it is not just because of that they won. Luck plays a part in cricket but how well team plays on the field is what really matters. In next match both teams need to focus on playing well as team not just relying on individual players. Bangladesh openers need to bat responsibly and whole team needs to work together for success. Final result of series will depend on which team plays better on day because cricket is unpredictable.

I agree with you that Bangladeshi openers need to do better and it seems like they are already taking steps to do that.
They have dropped Litton Das who has been struggling recently and added Jaker Ali Anik to their team.
Now what I am more curious about is their team combination.
Soumya will be their first opener. As for their second opener, there are 3 possible players.
First is Anamul Haque Bijoy, second is Tanzim Tamim and third is Mehedi Miraz.
I am curious if Jaker would get his position in the XI as well.
There is a chance that Taijul might get dropped and Jaker Ali will replace him.
But then there will be a lack of left-hand spinner. When Shakib Al Hasan usually plays, they never had to worry about this stuff, Shakib would have covered both the left-hand spinner space and batting space single handedly.
