This also reminds me that it was Shanto who actually told Shakib Al Hassan to make the "time out" decision. If I am being totally honest, Shanto is actually a good Captain. But his performance needs to improve.

I really like this. Because now we do not have anything called India versus Pakistan rivalry. So it is good to see a new rivalry going on in the Asian cricket scene.

I agree that Bangladesh put much of effort to win the ODI matches against Sri Lanka and Rishad Hossain performance was definitely a standout. It will be interesting to see how they perform in upcoming Test series especially since they will be playing at home. I think they have a good chance of winning but it will ultimately come down to how well they execute their game plan. Both teams played well in ODI matches series but Bangladesh definitely showed their strength.

Yes currently Bangladesh and Sri Lanka match is full of excitement. Sri Lankan players trolled the entire Bangladesh team after winning the T20I series against Bangladesh to protest against which Bangladesh trolled Sri Lanka after winning the ODI series. Such animosity between the Bangladesh and Sri Lankan teams has mainly arisen after Angelo Mathews was called out for time out in the World Cup. In fact the mistake in that match was Angelo Mathews' repeated change of his helmet due to which the umpire heeded Shakib's appeal and called him time out.

They are doing a great service to international cricket by playing against each other and thereby avoiding lop-sided matches (which would happen whenever they play against quality opposition such as India, Australia or South Africa).

Bangladesh team has a lot of strong batsmen and bowlers who basically can get out a lot of strong batsmen. The Sri Lankan team gave a target of only 235 runs to the Bangladesh team. This target seems to be a small target for the Bangladesh Tiger batsmen. Bangladeshi Tigers batsmen have given proof of this very easily.

And we have seen in the past that Bangladeshi batsmen cannot perform well under extra pressure. So Bangladeshi bowlers must be thanked for the win. Almost every bowler bowled well in this match.

But I was impressed by the performance of Bangladeshi young players in this match. Tanzid Hasan and Rishad Hossain's performances in particular surprised me. When the team was under the most pressure, Rishad started his explosive batting. It was unimaginable that any Bangladeshi batsman would bat so aggressively even under such pressure. He collected 48 runs off just 18 balls.

Just as Bangladesh's batting performance was good yesterday, Bangladesh's bowling performance was also good. In fact, Bangladesh had everything it needed to win yesterday. Actually the young stars of Bangladesh played well yesterday especially Tanjid Hasan Tamim and Risat Hossain not to mention. The bowling of the bowlers was very controlled from the beginning of the innings. Because of this Sri Lankan batsmen cannot provide big targets. A target of 236 runs cannot be called a big target on this pitch.

Anamul and Shanto, the two important batsmen of Bangladesh's top order, cannot bat well. Also we haven't seen good batting from Mahmudullah. Tauhid hridoy scored only 22 runs and MiraZ 25 runs. If Rishad did not bat well, it would have been very difficult for Bangladesh to win this match.

But at the end, we have Rishad Hossain who change match with his big hitting and bring important success for his team Bangladesh needs players like him, and surely they will try to groom him with their best sources for the best results in coming matches as well because he is surely big asset for them at this level.
