After losing the T20 series, Bangladesh was supposed to be more dedicated this time and they successfully defeated Sri Lanka in their 1st ODI match. This is the first match of 3 ODI between BAN vs SL, so BAN won the first match as a reply to their loss in T20 series but SL has good team too to make a comeback and then the 3rd match will be the ultimate decider.

Bangladesh team is trying to find a successor of Tamim's opening batsman but there is no opening batsman like him yet in Bangladesh. Currently the opening batsmen for the Bangladesh team are being tested for a long time but they are not able to give their best in any way. Liton Kumar Das and Soumya Sarkar in particular have been given plenty of opportunities to test themselves but they play well in one match and then play poorly in the next 4 matches.
If you ask me so I think it is hard for Bangladesh cricket team to find a great opening batsman who will play well all the time and for this purpose they need a fair selection and this will take much time. Kumar Das and Soumya Sarkar do not play well consistently. We mostly see them they do well in one match but not in next few matches. Each batsman performs well in maybe 2/1 matches, and then again they start batting poorly. I don't remember the last time I saw Bangladesh's opening pair survive the first 10 overs at the crease.
Bangladesh is completely dependent on their middle order. However, experienced players like Shakib, Mushfiq and Mahmudullah will retire within a few years. Bangladesh is yet to find a replacement for these experienced players. The condition of this group will be worse in the future.

But Sri Lanka bowled so dengerously and dismissed 3 batsman within 23 runs. But captain shanto held the lead tightly and kept hitting the bowl until reached century. Besides excellent batting was done by mashfiq also. And together they made bangladesh win the match
