Canada cricket team came to visit Nepal to play a three-match ODI series.This ODI series was not pleasant at all for Team Canada as they were whitewashed by Nepal in this ODI series. The second ODI of this series was very exciting for me as Canada batted first and scored 285 runs but Nepal won the match by four wickets. Nepal cricket team is gradually making their progress. Initially when Nepal came to cricket they often lost to all the teams but now they have become a bit stronger due to which they are winning against many teams. Nepali cricket team needs to play regular series against different strong teams to progress further and their team players to become experienced.

If cricket is not played by the local players of a country then the game of cricket is not very attractive. We are seeing more of this practice in some countries in recent times. I have mentioned earlier where I felt that the ICC may have continued such an effort as countries that did not like cricket but they became enthusiastic about cricket. I am very optimistic about some of the new teams, Nepal being one of them. Who has improved a lot in cricket in a short period of time. If they participate in the World Cup, they will gain more experience and their cricket will improve.
This is why I am supporting teams such as Nepal and Namibia. They have 100% native squad, unlike the case with the United Arab Emirates or the United States. But the root cause is the stupid eligibility criteria that was enforced by the ICC. Anyone with a visiting visa can represent any country, despite having no family connection or personal attachment. And this has seen more deserving countries struggling to win matches, while teams that are entirely comprised of foreigners are now dominating associate cricket.

I think there is nothing to be surprised because results we same as we expect and to be honest the way Nepal improved thier cricket should be appreciable and especially thier bowling side has much more potential to dethroned any quality batters or team and I am sure if they make some constructive changes in thier batting line-up soon they will be on the list of top sides of the tournament. Anyway if we have a look at current score board Netherlands played much bad compared to thier cricket world standard but it's ok up and down are part of any teams journey. While thier opponent nepal completely shift dominance toward them from start especially after dismissal of this first player and chase down the required target before 16th over
I agree with you. Nepal played well against Netherlands in yesterday match. It was impressive and not unexpected because Nepal has been doing well lately. Their bowling has improved a lot which is good. They can challenge good batters and teams. If they make some changes in their batting order Nepal could become one of the best teams in the tournament.On the other hand Netherlands didn't play well. But Nepal did a great job of chasing the target quickly and showed their strength. Nepal's performance was excellent and they are a team to keep an eye on in the tournament.

ICC CWC League 2 is started. Netherlands vs Nepal match has end today and surprising Nepal won by 9 wickets lol. Ned bat first and did 137 run from (39 overs). Most of players tired to defense the bowl and collected a lower amount of runs.

At this moment, both squads have left the ground because match has already finished of this competition ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 and this match was played among Netherlands sqaud and Nepal squad. In previous match Nepal squad was displayed really a bad performance in first match and gave very low defeating target because of this, Nepal sqaud lost this match but current, their squad comeback in today match, they defeated Netherlands sqaud members very badly aand just lost one batter wickets, they achieved all target which was 137 scores. On the other hand, they brought in Jack Brassell who performed exceptionally in the recently concluded U19 world cup. These two teams (Nepal and Namibia) are among the fastest growing associate teams in international cricket. It is difficult to say who is better out of these two, but I am happy with the fact that both are playing with 100% native squads and still making great improvement with every passing year.
Agree Both Nepal and Namibia teams has so much improved their cricket. In recent match the victory of Namibia over Nepal is Good sign for Namibia. Namibia chased down the target 134 runs in just lost of 6 wickets in 33 overs of the match. Jan Frylinck bat so welled in that match scored 34 runs, unfortunately missed his well deserved half century by 16 runs short. Namibia won the match against Nepal very easily by 4 wickets. Player of the Match is Gerhard Erasmus for his amazing all round batting and bowling performance they picked 5 crusial wickets for his team by just giving 28 runs and all out Nepal team in 132 runs. You are right when players from a country play cricket it makes the sport more special and interesting. It is sad to see some countries not valuing their own players and depending too much on players from other countries. And I also think t is good to see that the ICC is trying to make cricket more popular in countries where it wasn't popular before. Like you gave an example of Nepal. And I think if ICC will give more funds to these kind of teams so these teams can come up with new grace and can give more surprised in World Cups.

Teams like Oman and UAE are 100% composed of expats while teams like USA and Canada also have players mostly of South Asian origin. That's quite right when we say that only Nepal and Namibia in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 have 100% native players. ICC has objection on teams from gulf countries who have 100% expats that are on work vise.
Namibia has participated in many ICC tournaments while Nepal for the first time will play T20 world cup this year which will give them good confidence.

And Nepal batsman started losing their wickets from Earlier and they made only 21-4 which is too poor in a ODI Format Match. Then Bhim Sharki(44) and some all rounders manage to scored some runs and they able to collect total 132 runs. Need to must mention Gerhard Erasmus who got 5 wickets which was extra ordinary. And then Namibia came to bat and they slowly played the match. Some wickets gone and their top ordered batsman manage everything as planned and got the victory from nepal.

Nepal is also around here for years, but sadly they fail to produce good results because we have tough competition for them in Asian region with too many quality teams already and few others with adopted players are also coming which are surely hurting their cause.

It was a poor batting performance from Nepal side after they won an ODI series on same ground against Canada. The whole Nepal batting lineup collapsed on just 132 runs with Bhim Sharki as top scorer with 44 runs. Gerhard Erasmus has his best bowling figures of 5/28 in that game. Namibia had to work hard to win that game, they lost 6 wickets while chasing that small target. Namibia is top team of this tournament and Nepal need to perform better against them in upcoming games to stay on top.

Nepal give very disappointed performance they all Out in just 132 runs in 42th over of the match and Namibia winning this game easily. Namibia won that game by 4 wickets in first match of ICC Crick world cup league 2. The man of the game player is Gerhard Erasmus from Namibia for all round brilliant bowling and batting performance by picked five wickets hail 5/28 and All out Nepal team.
