Sri Lanka won this match very quickly and proved that they are a strong team. Afghanistan are in dire need of batting experience right now as their best men are not performing well in the batting.

Sri Lanka absolutely destroyed Afghanistan in the ODI series and I feel that senior players like Rashid, Mujeeb etc not being available helped them quite a bit since we all know what they are capable of.

Nissanka was the highlight of this series with a double century and a century. Good to see Wellalage performing well too.

Afghanistan did not perform badly in today's match, but setting a target of 267 runs does not indicate any bad performance. However, Sri Lanka is as strong as ever at the Sri Lankan venue, so no matter how well Afghanistan performs, they will not be able to win against Sri Lanka at the Sri Lankan venue for now. Though not relevant to this match but let me talk about the player who was born in another country and played for another country, that is Imran Tahir.

They is one of the best spinners and now his age is 44 but still, he performed like 30. To join cricket he lost many years because when his age was 30 then he played his first international match in South Africa. He was born in Pakistan, Lahore, and he played also cricket in Pakistan Under 19, Pakistan A, and from Pakistan playing 11 but never played in the original team of Pakistan then he decided to go to England and in England didn't give him a chance to play at least on England A then after some years to spend here he went to South Africa and by chance South Africa picked him and what a play he did so he becomes a permanent player of South Africa but sadly his debut match played on his 30th age and cricket one can play by under 35 to 40 and now his time is over.

Yeh match has been start and Afghanistan took bat first and compared to his previous matches defeat everyone expect another big defeat for Afghanistan against sirilankan team but I think may be we will have seen a different results as today scenario has been changed, if we have a look at previous matches where both of time Afghanistan lose while chasing and may be it's difficult on this pitches to chased but today Afghanistan will defend thier target so due to that reason I will go in favour of Afghanistan because I believe they have quality pacer and spinner who can damage them and hold them below required target. But now things will be totally defend on thier batters if they able to scored 300+ then I am 100% sure that results will be different. I know this victory will not be much worthy for them as they already lose thier series but will safe from white wash series.

So far, Afghanistan's batsmen have scored 177 runs in 31 overs for the loss of 4 wickets. They are working hard and struggling enough and keep trying to win the match.I am also very confident that it will give a target of 300. If it can't give then target above 280 will give. Because even 150 runs off 114 balls, 320 becomes a target for them.Today, Afghanistan's batting is impressing everyone. And playing matches with interest. In the third ODI match of Sri Lanka vs Afghanistan, Afghanistan scored 266 runs by batting all out in the first innings. Although Afghanistan did not score much runs in today's match they scored much less than in the previous matches they played. To win today's match, Afghanistan will need to put up a good bowling performance in the second innings and put Sri Lanka under pressure. If the Afghanistan team cannot stop the Sri Lankan team in today's match, then the Afghans must lose the match. And we have seen two matches won brilliantly by Srilanka team if they win today's match then surely Afghanistan team will be whitewashed. Third ODI match which is ongoing among Sri Lanka squad against Afghanistan squad and toss already done between both squads and one squad has come to crease for first batting inning and that squad is Afghanistan squad. In this competition, Afghanistan squad already lost two previous matches from Sri Lanka squad very badly but we don't underestimate the performance of Afghanistan sqaud and this time, their batting performance was continuing very good and collected such a reliable scores. Half overs are finished on crease and Afghanistan squad collected 139 scores with lost of 3 batter wickets which was Rahmanullah Gurbaz , Ibrahim Zadran and Hashmatullah Shahidi. For me it's actually the opposite.

I was happy and a little surprised when this current lot won against South Africa in the semis and reached the finals. Before the tournament, almost everyone ruled out the semis scenario because everyone thought that this batch was not as talented as previous ones and no one was hoping much from them. Yes, they are good but there was not any exceptional talent to look out for so beating a much stronger and talented team like SA and reaching the final is considered an achievement from management. They would've liked to win the finals but it's not a total loss considering the complete picture.

And this time the Indians made proper preparations. First they had participated in the 2023 ACC Under-19 Asia Cup, and then before the world cup they scheduled a tri-series between the U19 sides from Afghanistan and South Africa.
