South Africa team lost in this match by 78 runs. In the second match itself we saw excellent batting from the South African batsmen. So after India set a target of 297 runs in today's match I thought South Africa will win today's match as well. But we did not see a good performance from the South African batsmen today. Apart from Zorzi and Marakram, we have not seen any batsmen batting well. South Africa lost 2-1 in the cities by being defeated by a big margin. Arshdeep Singh and Washington Sundar bowled very well today. Indian team players are in good form. It seems that India will win the Test match as well.
Absence of Quinton de Kock is a big blow for South Africa. Reeza Hendricks and Tony de Zorzi opened the batting today for the Proteas, and both of them lacked international experience. But then inexperience is not an excuse as the experienced middle-order folded without a fight (Rassie van der Dussen, Aiden Markram, Heinrich Klaasen and David Miller). The allrounder Wiaan Mulder, who was included in this match also couldn't perform. It was disappointing for South Africa. They lost the series 1-2, despite having the home advantage.
De Kock already took a retirement from the ODI format.
Tony de Zorzi is 5 ODI old and inexperienced but he's showing a lot of potential. He already has 1 ton and 1 50 under his belt and averaging 69 (tonight he made 80 odd runs). The pitch was tough today, both teams struggled with the bat but luckily Sanju-Tilak's partnership and finishing touch from Rinku-Washington did the hard yard for India, which gave enough cushion to Indian bowlers.
BTW congrats to you and @Haunebu, Your favorite boys Sanju and Arsedeep got the Man of the Match and Man of the Series respectively.
