It seems that Group B have some top teams which include England also which have some good batting players and when we look at South Africa which seems to be more dangerous teams according to their bowling attack which mostly putt them in the winning situation and the other team West Indian are also famous for their sixes against different teams. In this event, we have no big team all are doing good but as we know India is having much better and solid system for the youths so just they are had chance for staying as favourite, but others can face unpredictable results because these youngsters are going to start their careers, and they have to face ups and downs which are surely giving them good lessons for their rest of the careers.In group B, we have England, West Indies and host nation South Africa which makes some interest about them because here any team can do good performance on game day and can go to the next round with others are having not better teams like this group but this is still game of nerves and any team can win on game day with their solid performance.

India will be the favorites without any doubt. They performed quite strongly in the tri-series against Afghanistan and South Africa. After them, it maybe Australia and England, as they have a very strong grass-roots setup. And then South Africa will be having the home advantage. You can't discount New Zealand and Pakistan as well. BTW, I don't have high hopes for West Indies. They are in overall decline, and the same can be said about Sri Lanka as well. And regarding the other teams, Afghanistan and Bangladesh may score a few upset wins.

Afghanistan and Ireland both teams have test status by ICC but they're not still played enough match in test cricket but they also got status and ICC given status 19 teams and ICC ranking nearly 100 teams in ODI format but how much team got qualify to play world cup and other big event. So status is doesn’t mean every team will play well and show good results.
Yeah, Afghanistan and Ireland got into test status in 2019 and both are having only 7 test matches in last four years with Afghanistan won 3 and lost 4 and Ireland was unable to win any which is clearly indicating how things are going in this format, so better thing is now they stop this all and bring more teams for the white-ball format which helps them for having more interesting cricket and which is also better for the entertainment purpose.We are currently having 12 teams in test format and just 5 or 6 are able to have better things with all others are losing their quality and things are also not favourable for them in finances, so now it's time for bringing more teams into shorter formats instead of going into this which is not affordable to all.

But what about the recent defeats to African associates such as Namibia and Uganda? And also in the ODI World Cup qualifiers, they lost to Scotland and Netherlands. These sort of defeats triggers a lot of questions and the decision by ICC to keep the test status of Zimbabwe will look more and more unjustified with each passing day.

Thinking about the West Indies that they still have some players who can play the test cricket although the team West India were been a favorite team for their t20 skills. As most top players for the t20 were also discovered by them. But Sri Lanka team I don't think can provide good skills in the test cricket and also the ICC may be some issues with some teams which is due to the financial status of some teams like I can say the current situation of Sri Lankan Team.

There are many irregularities in Zimbabwe cricket board so there is no improvement. If Zimbabwe is a member of International Cricket Council, so they're getting big fund millions of dollars from ICC, but they didn’t used it properly that's correct otherwise why they are not able to qualify in any big event for a long time, i think if they continue to poor playing in this way, they can be excluded from the membership of the ICC at any time. Yes, you're right about Zimbabwe's long-standing presence in international cricket since 1992. They participated in last T20I world cup and beat Pakistan which gave a hope that they are coming back but it was proved wrong. Now Zimbabwe is once again out from next T20I world cup.
