Zimbabwe is a relatively weak team. We did not expect much from them. So I was not disappointed at all after giving Zimbabwe a target of 209 runs. Such a performance was expected from them. However, if Sikandar Raza bats well, the Zimbabwean team could have given a target of 250-280. But Sikandar Raza is not in good form now. However, while Zimbabwe's batsmen did not do well, their bowlers' performance was outstanding. Richard Ngarava in particular bowled well today. Ngarava took 5 important wickets out of 8 wickets. Ngarava took all three wickets of Sri Lanka's top order. Hope the last match will be more competitive.

This is three match ODI series and first match ended without any result. Zimbabwe was on top when Sri Lanka started there innings but in the end Sri Lanka manage to win this game. Though its a win but it shows how down Sri Lankan cricket is at the moment. They can't beat a team like Zmbabwe easily.

Batting at a target of just 209 runs, Sri Lanka would face problems that were unexpected. 209 runs was not a big target on this pitch. If the target was more than 250 I thought the match would have been competitive. But the Sri Lankan team faced big problems to collect 209 runs against the bowlers of Zimbabwe

Sri Lanka's top order batted very poorly. The Sri Lankan team lost all four important wickets to collect only 53 runs. If Janith Liyanage was not able to bat well, Sri Lanka would have definitely lost this match. Also the batting of Theekshana, Chameera and Vandersay helped Sri Lanka reach the winning target.

The Zimbabwean team played brilliantly in the second ODI match between Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka. If Zimbabwe could have played the full over, if they could have given Sri Lanka a target of 220 runs, then maybe Zimbabwe could have won this match today. Because the bowlers of Zimbabwe bowled brilliantly especially Richard Ngarava bowled brilliantly bowling 32 runs in 10 overs and took five important wickets. Unfortunately Zimbabwe lost today's match. Sri Lanka won by two wickets but in my eyes Zimbabwe won. Because the Zimbabwean team has performed brilliantly. Because Sri Lanka is undoubtedly a strong team but the way they performed today it seems Sri Lanka's Zimbabwean team bowled much better. Because the Lankan batsmen have struggled to bat against the target of 209 runs given by Zimbabwe. Honestly feel very bad for the Zimbabwe team for not winning today's match. And they scored only 169 runs after completing 41 overs and 7 wickets. So Sri Lanka still has a lot of challenges to overcome the target given by Zimbabwe. So in this respect Sri Lanka looks weaker than Zimbabwe. So I don't think Sri Lanka can win the match. a big failure for Sri Lanka as Zimbabwe was not a strong opponent for them. Craig Ervine top scored for Zimbabwe team with an innings of 82 runs off 102 balls. Chasing a target of 209 runs, Sri Lanka didn't get off to a good start, losing 5 wickets after scoring 90 runs. Janith Liyanage fought alone for Sri Lanka as Sri Lanka scored 172/7 when Janith Liyanage was dismissed for 95 off 127 balls as Zimbabwe put Sri Lanka under severe pressure. In the end, Sri Lanka won by 2 wickets thanks to Chammera and Vandersay efforts.

So Far Sri Lanka has scored 160 runs and 6 wickets have fallen. Zimbabwe still has a chance of winning the match But I don't think that is going to happen. Janith Liyanage is still out there. They need 46 runs from 63 balls. I think that won't be a challenge for Sri Lanka if they can keep their wickets.

Zimbabwe did struggle with the bat though, Only Craig Ervin did well with the bat scoring a beautiful 82 runs from 102 runs. Many of the batters could not even get to 2 digits of runs. And to be honest I am not surprised that they were struggling. As I have said before they are not that good of a cricketing team. I predict Sri Lanka will win this match and the next match as well.
