Not only did the Indian team win depending on these two bowlers but in the second ODI match Avesh Khan and Arshdeep Singh took a total of nine wickets and helped India win that match that day.

Mate, i also have same thought. First of all, Its true that there were many top batsman in South Africa team who have many husbands in their portfolios but all of them failed to score decent run during this 1st ODI. Specially David Miller, Aiden Markram did worst performance which was unexpected and scored only 116 Run for target which is very very low rate for ODI. Besides Sai Sudharsan and shreyas Iyer, both were enough to face the target and done 50s both. But as you said, Arshdeep and Avesh khan played vital role in match, which will be unforgeable. And luckily Arshdeep got one more wicket from avesh and get the fame of Player of the Match.

I can't belive that the South African team can play like that. This is an ODI match and South Africa gave the target of 116 runs and even though this target of 116 runs was not given even in routine T20 because if a team gives this target in T20 then they accept their defeat. So I don't have any idea that why they gave too low a target in the ODI, and this series was hosted by South Africa so they should win or show some performances.

That's right, a target of 117 runs is a very small target even for a T20 match. Such a small target is rarely seen in T20 matches. It is really a shame to set a target of 117 runs for the South African team in this ODI match. Cricket lovers always look forward to exciting matches. Such low scoring matches in ODI series are very boring for cricket lovers. I think South Africa should have bowled first against India in this match. Yes, these two guys were the reason why South Africa post a very low target. The problem with both the bowlers are they are very inconsistent with their line and length. If you had seen the match yesterday, Ashdeep Sigh was having trouble in controlling the ball, he knew he had to bowl on the onside to the left-handed batter but was bowling on the leg side causing unwanted extra run in the form of wide. The most consistent bowler in the team was Kuldeep Yadave, he has been taking wickets almost on every match that he plays for India, regardless of the pitch condition.

While I was watching this game I thought maybe T20 was being played but later I noticed that it was an ODI game.Basically I felt that South Africa lost wickets at regular intervals and were bowled out for just 116 runs.
