I just wonder why we needed to have a Asia Cup in the first place. India not willing to play at the original Asia cup venue, getting an extra day for India vs. Pakistan Super 4 match to get two points, otherwise both teams would have gotten 1 point each, manipulation all around as other matches had no extra days and now in the finals Srilanka 12-5.

Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first. I actually do not like this decision from them too much. Because India is definitely a good team while chasing. They have a reputation for chasing down big targets. But I guess Sri Lanka is trying to play to their own strength and also trying to take advantage of what the pitch has to offer. Bangladesh will not suffer an opening disaster. I hope the batting line of Bangladesh will be good. New Zealand announces squad with Lockie Ferguson as captain for the first time. Can't see more experienced players in the squad. Bangladesh will become stronger at home. I hope Bangladesh will play well at home.
To be honest, you never know if Bangladeshi openers would play well or not. Tamim Iqbal returned from Injury and he may some time to get into form. Liton Das is out of form as well. Soumya Sarkar was included in the squad but I am not sure in which position he will play. He might open the innings or he might play at number three position. Whatever position he plays, we expect some good performance from them. We don't want to see another disaster in the World Cup. Shakib Al Hasan had a dream to win the World Cup. But we expect them to play at least semi-finals for now. If they can go further, that will be dream come true.

A win is indeed a win. If you ask me to be honest, I was not satisfied with the performance of the batters. I am disgusted with some batters like Shamim Hossain Patwary. As Bangladeshi, we expect Bangladesh to play better cricket and win some games. It's not like we will win all the matches. I expect to play competitive cricket against all teams, and I am okay with that.

Yes, with this win, Bangladesh cannot move ahead in the tournament but still, I would call it a good win for Bangladesh.
Think in a way that the Bangladesh team returning to home and people will talk about their poor performance and not winning a single match in the Super 4. Now at least they have something to defend that they had won against India but again not all teams can qualify for the finals.
