I am eagerly waiting to watch Bangladesh vs Pakistan match today. There is no doubt that Pakistan team is very strong. And I would say Pakistan has the best bowling line-up in the world right now. It is very difficult to stay at the crease against Pakistan bowlers. On the other hand, I will not say that the batsmen of Bangladesh are bad. However, their performance is not consistent. In the first match they collected only 166 runs against Sri Lanka, in the second match this team scored 334 runs. There is no telling how they will fare against Pakistan's bowlers. However, Bangladesh have less chance of scoring big against Pakistan bowlers.
Although Pakistan's batting line-up is quite good, Bangladesh's bowlers have been playing well in recent times. Shakib and Miraj are great spinners. On the other hand, Taskin, SHoriful and Hasan Mahmud are very good pace bowlers. And they are in good form. I think the match will be competitive. Although Pakistan is the favorite in this match.

This is the usual pattern when it comes to Afghanistan. They play really well till the end and somehow screw up at the end which is how the opponents usually end up winning. New chokers of cricket.
Mujeeb should have rotated the strike and made sure that he didn't hit the wicket by himself so that Rashid could finish the job.

It was a tricky situation. Ideally Mujeeb Ur Rahman should have taken a single and then give strike to Rashid Khan. But he was thinking that he need to hit 4 runs from 1 ball, and therefore went for a boundary. If he had knowledge of the equations, then he would have rotated the strike without any doubt. After the match, Afghan coach was blaming the match officials. But then, I don't think that it is the duty of the match officials to inform the players about the different scenarios. Those things the players need to do among themselves.

This match is not all about winning for Afghanistan. There are a lot of maths in this match. Afghanistan has to win this match with 77 balls in hand which is 12 Overs and five balls. Afghanistan are already seven down and they still need 54 runs from 31 balls. It could have been easy if they had top-order batter on the crease. Sri Lanka have to bowl tight at this moment.
They might win the match but it won't be easy for them to win it with 77 balls in hand. Rashid Khan is the last recognized batter from Afghanistan who is in the crease right now. He is the last hope Afghanistan have. Interesting!

Can't think of any such fight by any team recently as Afghanistan fought hard to qualify but failed. They were unlucky at the end as they didn't knew the exact match situation.
By the way, people are talking about that they could still have won if they would have hit a six to finish the match, but even if they knew it, what if they were not able to hit the six. It was a tough target 🎯 for the Afghanistan team but still I love the way they fought.

There is a statement from Jonathan Trott (Afghanistan head coach). He is claiming that no one informed the team about the different permutations and combinations. All they knew is that they had to score the winning runs in 37.1 overs, or else they will be out of the Asia Cup. They were unaware of the other possibilities. In reality, it was still possible to qualify, if they had scored 297 runs by 38.1 overs (293 was needed for a win, but there is always a chance of scoring boundary with one more run needed). Anyway, Afghanistan need to take out positives from yesterday's match.
Every international team has a team analyst who works with the team. They always work with the calculations and analyze every match detail. I don't know who is the team analyst of Afghanistan. If they have one, what is the job of that guy? Even website commentators like Cricinfo and, Cricbuzz reported these things live. If most cricket analyst knows the equation, why not their team analyst?
Whatever, this was an awesome match to watch. Afghanistan played really well. I am not upset because of their loss. I am upset because they did not know the other equation. Fazal Haque Farooqi defended a full-toss ball that could have been a big six. All they needed was to hit a six in the next three balls from there.

You have to feel for Afghanistan, they played incredibly and with a lot of heart.
They were not just trying to win the match but they attempted to qualify with a better run rate and doing so lost the match. They needed to chase this target in 37.1/2 overs but luck wasn't on their side tonight. If qualification wasn't on the table then they were surely winning the match.
It was really sad to see Afghanistan play for the first time because Afghanistan tried so hard at the end but they came very close to win but failed to bring the equation in their favor in the end. Afghanistan didn't qualify In this case I want to put the full blame on Afghanistan team analyst who is there because 37.1 overs Afghanistan must win to qualify for semi-final of Asia Cup but Mujibur Rahman got out in 37.1 overs but still there was a chance for Afghanistan to qualify for next round. Had either of the next two balls hit a six, Afghanistan would have qualified for the next round, but Afghanistan's body language suggested they might not know the equation. The person who is the analyst may not have understood this equation due to which Afghanistan has to leave the Asia Cup with disappointment once again. They were not just trying to win the match but they attempted to qualify with a better run rate and doing so lost the match. Farooqi is focused on the bowling only, his batting statistic isn't good. As the way he played the full toss ball, he isn't capable of hitting a boundary.
All he had to do was to take a single, and give the strike back to Rashid Khan. But the message from dressing room was that Afghanistan need to win by 37.1 overs, and if they can't do that then they would fail to qualify. Even the TV commentators knew about the other possibility (295 by 37.4 overs), after the first ball of 38th over was bowled. In the end, Fazalhaq Farooqi got out in his 3rd ball for a duck (37.4 overs), without knowing that there was still a chance to qualify if he had given strike to Rashid Khan. Anyway, this is not the first time that Afghanistan is losing close encounters. During the last edition of Asia Cup also something similar happened.

Afghanistan has performed very well. And I am satisfied with their performance. Amassing 292 runs in just 37.1 overs was no easy task. However, the boys of Afghanistan tried their best. They were narrowly defeated. I'd say that's their bad luck. Otherwise they would have won this match and qualified for round of 4 as well. The Afghanistan team should take the preparation for the next World Cup now. Their squad is promising. They can play well.
Jonathan Trott's statement sounds silly to me. He was unaware of his chances of qualifying for the next round. It was his duty to explore all the possibilities. Because he is the coach of the Afghanistan team. He did not perform his duty properly.

Now Pakistan will face Bangladesh and which will be easy opponent compared to sirilankan as they have edge on home conditions, while may be india will be little bit in trouble to face sirilankan but any prediction anything now is meaningless so all those will win who control thier nerves understand there situation and execute thier plan.
Yes dear today is the 7th match of Asia Cup and this is between Pakistan and Bangladesh. If we take a look on points table so we will see that in group A Pakistan is on top and higher Net Run Rate. And according to the previous performance I am sure that Pakistan will win the match and will remain on top in points table. And hope Pakistan will win Asia Cup too.

The Afghanistan team played very well but Such a BIG Blunder by Afghanistan. They needed 6 runs of 3 balls to Qualify and their batters Farooqi and Rashid Khan were unaware of it. Forooqi tried to stop those 3 deliveries and out in the Next 37.4 over in 289 runs. Afghanistan are now out of the Asia Cup and also lost the match by 2 runs.
I also think that Afghanistan batters not aware of the exact equation lost the last two wickets for zero runs and Rashid Khan remained off strike. Now Pakistan, India from Group A and Bangladesh and Sri Lanka from Group B quality for Super Four teams of the Asia Cup 2023.

Sirlinka won this match by 2 runs The player of the match is Kusal Mendis for his amazing innings of 92 runs in just 82 balls which helped alot Sirlinka to put a good total of 291 runs. Kasun Rajitha's outstanding bowling performance picked up 4 wickets by 70 runs a little expensive in 10 overs but the Win match for his team now Sirlinka quality for the super four four and will face Bangladesh on 9 September.

Your information is not correct Pakistan's bowlers are better than the Indian ones especially Shaheen Afridi because that guy is a truly awesome bowler and anyone plays against his bowls will have to face the hardest match of his life. I believe that the other bowlers of Pakistani team also do their best in matches and especially when it's against India because both have enmity from the beginnings. I think Sri Lankan team is also a little bit good but they aren't as good as Pakistani team. Although it would be underestimation if I say that Indian bowlers aren't good because they also play very well in the matches but it's a fact that Pakistani bowlers are a little better than the Indian ones.

Do you know that if Afghanistan could hit a six on the 37.2, 37.3 or 37.4 ball, they could still have qualified but no one in the Afghanistan team nor their dressing room knew this? How sad it is for them when they will come to know about this

Afghanistan side were really really unlucky today as they almost done thier job but unfortunately can't finish the last Darma and KnockOut of the Asia Cup 2023, I think were off colour from start of thier innings because thier main top order batter lose his wicket too quickly on a pitch where bowler didn't get any kind of help but still lose, if top order set a stage with a spectacular partnership then later after thier dismissal rest of thier player will continue the ongoing momentum but they can't as a result pressure were mounting on the lower order but unexpected and power hitting inning from Nabi put them on track again but after that due to thier bad plan execution they lost again from thier track and lose important match of the competition Quote
