Nepal has made an excellent start. I don't think the opening pair will bat with such responsibility in Nepal. Nepal's two openers are very cautious against India's experienced bowlers. They collected 53 runs in 9 overs without losing any wicket.

Heavy thunderstorms are predicted for entire day, and the same weather is going to be there for the next 7-8 days. The ACC is actually considering to move the remaining matches to either Dambulla or Hambantota, where the conditions are slightly better. That said, this decision to hold matches in Sri Lanka right at the monsoon season was a disaster. The BCCI wanted to move matches out of Pakistan, but then they should have also kept weather conditions in mind.
What is this? Why did ACC select Sri Lanka for Asia Cup matches, Even we can't see the biggest match of cricket, between Pakistan and India. Now, ACC has shifting the tournament to Dambullah or Hambantato, Also, it's a good thing to shift the tournament to the other states, at least we can see the match. I also checked the weather report. There is a strong chance of rain today. And the chances of a full 100-over match being played today are very low. However, as I see the weather condition, there is a possibility that the result will not be seen in today's match. The umpire should reduce the over if the weather is bad, and if the match is delayed. Otherwise the result will be India vs Pakistan match. However, if the result of today's match is also not known, will India and Pakistan qualify for the next round? I don't feel good that India will go to the next round without a complete performance in even one match.

It is not yet confirmed that Bangladesh will play in the Super Four. However, there is a high possibility that Bangladesh will be able to play in the Super Four. @JSRAW, do you have any plan to create a prediction pool for the upcoming ODI world cup? There wasn't too many participants in the last T20 world cup prediction pool, but it was enjoyable.
It's been quite sometime since we had a proper cricket prediction pool tournament in this forum. ODI World Cup happens every 4 years which is why this is a great question in my opinion.@Royse777 and @JSRAW together used to manage those pools really well before based on what I remember.

Bangladesh had already made a plan to join the team if they confirmed the Super Four of the Asia Cup. Afghanistan could not do well in bowling and batting in the match. I thought Afghanistan team could perform well but they could not do that.
The surface was batting-friendly, and Afghanistan bowlers were clueless. Both Captains know that this is batting friendly surface so winning the toss was another key factor. As the Afghan Captain said, if they won the toss, they would choose to bat first as well. Once again, Bangladesh did not give a chance to Anamul Haque Bijoy and they replaced the debutant opener Tanzim Tamim as well.
Most of us don't know that Mehedi Hasan Miraz opened before for Bangladesh and he had a half-century as opener. The experiment paid off a little. Let's see if Bangladesh continue with him or not.

Credit goes to BCCI for all this mess up and I am sure BCCI is just happy that they were successful in moving the tournament out of Pakistan. Lots of matches will be affected by rain and let's see whether we can have final of this aisa cup or it will also be affected by rain.
It's best in interest of Nepal that today's match will not be affected by rain. They have played a game against Pakistan and need this game also to get necessary exposure.

Taskin Ahmed consistently outstanding bowling, which resulted in four wickets, confirms his position as Bangladesh top fast bowler. In my opinion Taskin and Shorful has become a strong bowler as a result of his perseverance and hard effort, whilst Mustafiz has lagged behind as a result of lacking a similar level of devotion. Bangladesh ability to compete at the highest level on the world stage was demonstrated by their victory by 89 runs which not only highlights their talent but also keeps their aspirations alive to win AsiaCup 2023.
I didn't think that Bangladesh will perform so well. But after watching Bangladesh team's first match I was upset with Bangladesh team because Bangladesh team had bad performance in batting and bowling line for which I was worried in Bangladesh vs Afghanistan match. But on the day Bangladesh team batsmen bat first. Bangladesh team won on that day by giving a target of more runs. Afghanistan could not do well in bowling and batting in the match. I thought Afghanistan team could perform well but they could not do that.No one expected such a great performance from the Bangladesh team. Especially when the team lost all wickets for just 166 runs in the first match, it was unbelievable to set a target of 335 runs. Because Afghanistan's bowling line-up is very strong than Sri Lanka's. Even then, seeing Bangladesh's batting at the beginning of the innings, I thought the team would collect 280-290. But in the end Bangladesh gave a huge target of 335. Bangladesh collected more than 100 in the last 10 overs. Bangladeshi batsmen played great. And Bangladesh confirmed the next round as the first team. If this performance continues, I guess we will see Bangladesh in the Asia Cup final. The team is strong and Shakib's captaincy is also very good.

Bangladesh bowlers bowling well Taskin Ahmed took 4 crucial wickets by just giving 44 runs in 8.3 overs and Shoriful Islam great fast bowler of Bangladesh also picked 3 important wickets by just giving 36 runs in 9 overs. From Afghanistan, Ibrahim Zadran showed his class while chasing down such a huge target he batted well and scored 75 runs.
Bangladesh really played well. And I was thinking that the Bangladesh can win the match when they made 334 runs. From the batsmans I will appreciate Mehidy Hasan Miraz who made 112 runs for 119 balls. And second is Najmul Hossain Shanto who made 104 runs for 105 balls. And from bowlers there are also two bowlers who deserves appreciation. One is Taskin Ahmed who got 4 wickets and second is Shoriful Islam who got 3 wickets. Congratulations Bangladesh team.
