Today's ODI match between India and Australia was a very competitive game. Even though India played at home, they could not win because Australia performed very well from the start and the fall of wickets was very low. India lost the match due to rapid fall of wickets. India fell behind by two wickets in the 36th over. That's why we can say that if India had a save from the wicket side, today's match would have been won.
If I am not wrong then in the last ODI WC cycle, Australians were the only unit to beat India in 5 ODI bilateral series just before the WC and it happened again tonight. Not sure if the Indians are playing any ODI series (maybe 1? IDK).
Bumrah, Shreyas and Pant (he wasn't good in ODI tho) are out due to injuries. India has some problems to tackle before WC kicks in. The number 4 spot is still dicey, bowling is good but not performing consistently.

I would not say that 270 runs are a bad collection on this pitch. Because the performance of India's batsmen is somewhat irregular now. And so collecting 270 runs is not easy for India at the moment. The match is getting competitive. India lost 6 wickets and collected 185 runs. India needs 85 runs from 88 balls to win. Both Hardik Pandya and Jadeja are quite talented batsmen batting now. If this pair can perform well then it will not be difficult for India to collect 85 runs. Auston Agar just took two wickets in two balls making things even more difficult for the Indian batting. The required run rate is 6.0 an over which may not seems much but since India has lost 6 wickets, this could be a big problem.
Earlier I thought that Australia scored 20 to 30 runs less but now the batting collapse by India has given them an advantage in this decisive match.

It is not entirely true that India has bowled badly, now Australia is bowling but compared to India's bowling, Australia is not performing well. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul are setting themselves up brilliantly on the wicket and India are performing well as a team. Both Rohit Sharma and Gill started brilliantly. Now both Virat Kohli and KL Rahul remain unbeaten on the wicket with 36 and 15 respectively. At the moment the team collection is 120/2 runs.
As usual the openers are gone too early. Considering the pitch I was expecting them to get thier individual 50s. To an extent it was my fault expecting from the early batters. Looks like Kholi is again in his agressive mode. He is currently striking at 88+, which he was used to before 2019. I reckon he is basically trying to get that back. The condition are okay for a class batter like him and if he succeeds he will score a century today.
At last a score of 200+, I was getting fed up with these below 200 run target matches. As expected the last ODI between India & Australia will bring some entertainment. I hope the openers as well as the middle order of the Indian team perform like they used to in the past.

Already 8 wickets are gone without Australia reaching 250. Still, 4 overs are left, and if the tail-enders want to go after the bowlers now then with luck they might reach 280 or might not.
At the start of the match it looked like 300+ runs. Once the wickets started to fall, the scoring got disturbed and there were consecutive fall of wickets at regular interval. Hardik Pandya and Kuldeep Yadav had a good bowling contribution. Every Australian player contributed to the score, but there is no big score coming out of any player. India was once a team wherein batters were known to win matches but after watching a few matches with Australia playing in India I think that myth has been broken. Neither do they have one of the best batting lineups nor they would be able to get it unless they give more opportunities to new talent.

Hardik Pandya and Yadav were the shining stars for India bowling line-up today, taking three wickets each and restricted the Australian batters.
