Shubham Gill must be learning a new reality in international cricket that how hard to get his first international ton.
In 17 intl matches across 2 formats (test-odi) he came close to magic figure of 100 3 times but poor guy can't break the curse. Got out on 91 at Gabba. Got stuck at 98 when rain ruined his party against Windies and against Zim well there wasn't much to chase.
Well.. at least he got a chance to bat. Sanju Samson fans are furious that he didn't got an opportunity to showcase his batting skills. Zimbabwe seems to be the weakest team in the ODI super league, and they seems to be in a worse condition when compared to both Ireland and Netherlands. In case of the Dutch, at least they have the excuse that most of their regular players are away for county cricket (and despite that they gave a good fight against Pakistan in the first ODI). Zimbabwe doesn't have any such excuse. Their performance was pathetic.
In the first ODI against Zimbabwe, India won the match by a wicket The opening batted so well that India won the match against Zimbabwe by 10 wickets without the fall of any wicket. However, in the second match against India, Zimbabwe may plan and enter the field. However, there are several batsmen for India who have not been able to bat against Zimbabwe so far One of them could be Sanju Samsung. I think he will do well for the team if he gets a chance to bat against Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe needed to score at least 300 runs to win against India. Because, India may be playing with their second-tier team, but they still have a lot of talented batsmen on the team. On the other hand, the Zimbabwean team has very few experienced batsmen. And so it is very difficult for Zimbabwe to give a target of big runs against India.

Alhamdulliah Pakistan won the match by the 7 Wickets and as always. M.Rizwan the True Pakistani Lion made itso easy by a tremendous innings of 69 Runs. Expectations cames true here there was Poor Start by Netherlands,on the Batting end but they tried their best on Bowling startup but Results goes with good performance of Pakistani Batsman.
With Netherlands too similar situation happened. Netherlands lost the third wicket at 8 runs. I thought the innings will go for atleast 250+ runs, but the early fall of wickets changed the match. Pakistan lost its second wicket at 11 runs. The early wickets made the team struggle a little, but Babar Azam, Rizwan and Salman made it steady and won the match comfortable.

I also expected the Netherlands to be able to collect as big as the first innings. But they lost all the wickets in just 186 runs. Pakistani bowlers bowled brilliantly. Haris Rouf took 3 wickets for just 16 runs. Despite the poor batting of the two Pakistani openers, Pakistan managed to win easily with the help of Babar Azam and Rizwan's responsible batting as usual.

Thats a fact that opening batting order plays an important role in Building up the match. But unfortunately both teams disappointed by their opening order. As fast team losses its Opening order it Builds a Heavy pressure on Bowling and Batting both side of the team if they are Choosing Bat first. So lets hope for Good performance in the next matches.

The performance of Zimbabwe's batsmen is not regular. Despite winning two series against Bangladesh, their top order could not play well. All the matches were won because of Sikandar Raza and Chakabva's excellent performances. It is impossible to play consistently well depending on the performance of only 2 batsmen. If Zimbabwe's top order fails to play well in the next match too, then India will win the second ODI one-sidedly.

Zimbabwe do have an issue with retaining players. They have lost some of their most promising young players in the last few years to politics and corruption. It is amazing that this country still produces such promising players, despite all the political upheaval and incompetent authorities. They have a very small player pool as well. But after a while, some of the players get dejected and move on to other countries such as England. Only a few, such as Raza, Ervine and Williams have stayed loyal to their country.

Now ICC needs to bring some better package for these associate countries and give them better funds as well for improving quality and having better infrastructure which help their domestic setup.
Funding can help only to certain extent. For starters, Zimbabwe gets 50 times the amount that is allocated to Netherlands ($10 million per year for Zimbabwe, $200K for Netherlands). Despite the funding difference, at this point Netherlands looks stronger than Zimbabwe. And let's remember the fact that Netherlands was playing without 7 of their regular players (who are in England, participating in county cricket). If these players were available, then Netherlands could have given tough challenge to Pakistan.

Funding is not the only thing that will help a team. I think we all know that Zimbabwe has certain problems with the cricket board. And a few months back I also heard that Zimbabwe does not currently have a proper cricket board. I don't know if that is still the case. But obviously, that does not clarify how a team like Zimbabwe is not even performing at the level of a team like the Netherlands. But I have to say the associate countries could really use the funding. While we are saying that funding isn't everything, it is also essential for the improvement of any cricket team.

I feel India's series with Zimbabwe would be entirely one-sided after watching the match yesterday. India ruled the game from the beginning. Indian bowlers destroyed Zimbabwe's batting, non of the batters were able to contribute except Regis Chakabva who I thought could have reached his half-century but unfortunately, he got bowled out by Axar Patel. I am not hoping for anything incredible from the Zimbabwes side in the next two matches.
Zimbabwe collected very low score against India where I think there is no way they will be able to win against India. Zimbabwe wanted to go ahead with Sikandar Raza but he fail to do that. It can be said that he had to stop at the beginning. On the other Chakabva collected 35 runs and total they collected 189. So all the matches are highly likely to be one-sided in this series.

Yes, I think the whole series between India and Zimbabwe is going to be one-sided because obviously, Zimbabwe is no match for a team like India. In the last match against India, Zimbabwe couldn't even do anything.

2/3 of the players in Zimbabwe started, but they could not continue. And obviously, there was no meaningful partnership between them. The target was very easy for India to chase down. But I have to say it was impressive to see India not even losing one wicket. In this series, I believe India will win every match, even if one or two are not one-sided. I don't believe that Zimbabwe will be able to beat India.

India won the ODI match between Zimbabwe vs India by 10 wickets. At the beginning of the message, Zimbabwe went into bat and collected 159 runs in 40.3 overs. Going into bat with a target of 190 runs, the Indian team very comfortably collected 192 runs without a wicket The two openers have scored almost equal runs in this mess. But Shubham Gill scored 82 runs off 72 balls and Shikar Dewan scored 81 runs off 193 balls. Due to their extraordinary batting skills, they managed to win this match without a wicket.
A target of 190 runs was not too difficult for India, competitive fielding against a world class cricket team like India against a weak team like Zimbabwe to win by so few runs.It was indeed a difficult thing to do. Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill in particular ended the game with 81 and 82 runs respectively in just 30 overs. In this regard, I did not see Zimbabwe being affected very hard.

This series is expected to be completely one-sided. Indian team is not stupid like Bangladesh. They will win all the matches in the series. And in every match we will see the dominance of Indian players. From the beginning of the innings, the Zimbabwean batsmen failed to resist the Indian bowlers. If the Zimbabwean batsmen bat well in the upcoming matches, they can expect a competitive match.

In the second ODI between Netherlands vs Pakistan, Pakistan won by seven wickets in 16.2 overs.First, the Netherlands team batted 44 overs and managed to score 186 runs for 10 wickets. The Pakistan cricket team went into bat with a target of 127 runs, and the opening pair was matched very quickly. Pakistan won this match by 7 wickets due to the amazing batting skills of the next three. Md Rezwan scored the highest runs for Pakistan. He collected 69 runs from 82 balls.
I think there is a lot of difference between Netherlands and Pakistan in ODI cricket. Because Pakistan is a very strong team in ODI cricket. But I think Netherlands today they didn't bat well, if they could have batted a bit better maybe they could have fought more against Pakistan. However, even though Pakistan's opening pair could not do well, the last three finished the game completely.
No doubt we have the biggest difference between these teams with today's both matches were completely one-sided as Pakistan hammered badly Netherlands and India completely romped Zimbabwe which is showing not quality cricket we need more fixtures for these minors countries for having better experience and improved quality for better results otherwise this is not going to help anyone just waste of time and sources.

In today match Netherlands eight batsmen were out without touching double figure which is surely the worst from them and same happening in Zimbabwe they were badly down and out against low quality bowling of India which bring their third stint attack for this tour.

Now ICC needs to bring some better package for these associate countries and give them better funds as well for improving quality and having better infrastructure which help their domestic setup.

Yup Zimbabwe is not strong team. They always lose games against teams from countries like Bangladesh and India. I also knew that India will win today's game of Zimbabwe Vs India. That's exactly what happened. Zimbabwe set India a target of just 189 runs.  Which was very easy for India to fulfill
Zimbabwe is indeed a weak team. But India has showed excellent performance in both batting and bowling section today. Zimbabwe managed to make a good partnership in the 9th wicket, which has helped them to reach 180+ runs. India has chased the target easily without losing any wickets. Anyway, Bangladesh has recently lost an ODI series with this Zimbabwean team, where the same team is playing very bad against India. Zimbabwe is going to be whitewashed by India in this series.
There were few hopes Zimbabwe will perform better after winning series against Bangladesh and having third rated Indian bowling attack, but this is not going to be positive for them all bowlers done good job specially Chahar was in good rhythm and take all three top order wickets which break their all hopes, and they fail to play in good way just 9th wicket 80 runs partnership give them good score on board, and they reach at 189 which was not enough for India and both openers done amazing job and have 10 wickets win for their team which already break all hopes for having any good cricket from these minors it's going to be one-sided business.

Chahar was man of the match for his good performance in this match, a good start for this new kid in blue, hopefully he will be better in future with his good bowling and replace Mohammad Siraj in main bowling attack.
