Heh the memory lane with this thread Smiley Not sure if this is recoverable at this stage but would be a fun little project to try.

Get Rekt
What do we need to get this going, what is the latest working wallet?

Resurrection of this coin even with the help of the Old Ones seems very unlikely.

I have nothing to say.
But I don't want to see this topic die.

Blazr, where are you?

Okay I know that this coin is very likely long-dead, but if anyone could post a working addnode I would greatly appreciate it.
I enjoy collecting quasi-defunct coins and would like to sync up a wallet and maybe collect a couple of coins in the process.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx!

Nature decays, but Latinum lasts forever. RoA:102
You can see here: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/off/orphans.dws
that there was 2 or more attacks - March 8 2018 and May 23 2018.

Yes, OFF was 51% attacked. Cryptopia delist all coins with no protection from 51% attack. They can't find OFF developer and make rollback or compensate lost with hardfork. Bottelcaps was also stolen, but community found developer, made hardfork, compensate Cryptopia lost and prevent another attack (checkpoint server) That is why CAP was not delisted.

Are you certain these coins were stolen from Cryptopia?  I notice Cryptopia has delisted the coin without warning.  It's on the delisted page today with an announcement and delist date as the same, Dec 21, 2018.

Here's the latest repo I had on my vps (1.7 on new bitcoin core) : https://github.com/zeewolfik/offerings

I've never been able to get 1.7 to sync so I've been using Bokrug, 1.6.2.

I would volunteer to be a part of keeping this coin alive but this supposed 51% attack gives me pause.  I'm not sure I'd want to touch it until I know what happened there.  Nice work vampirus keeping track of that.

Could easily hardfork and ban the 51'ed coins. It's a shitty thing to do, but so is 51% attacks.

I investigate problem with OFF.
It was plain 51% attack. Hacker take to his own wallet 533981 coins
and Cryptopia have no more coins.

As I don't own any coins and just stumbled upon this early June, I stopped investigating some days ago, but I got quite deep into the rabbit hole.
CMC now lists OFF tagged as "Inactive".
The chain is still moving, somebody is mining it, see https://chainz.cryptoid.info/off/
The latest source I got yields a daemon, but it won't connect to the addnodes I know.

My fear is that similar sudden attack-induced deaths could happen to other old coins, too.
Unfortunately, this has become quite easy due to services to easily rent hashes.
I thought of implementing a chain monitoring and protection solution that monitors the network, availability and changes in source, does anomaly detection in the blockchain and more. A job that is usually something the coin's dev and exchanges should do and cryptoid.info comes quite close at least for keeping public blockchain data.

Leave your Cthulhu addy here, I shall give some offerings unto you when I have access again to my coins on Cryptopia.

There are plenty of people that would like to help in any way possible, psycho-pat. Do not hesitate to PM me. We could perhaps create some kind of work group.

Don't worry guys, once Cryptopia has shed the other 4 million fake coins, Cthulhu OFF will be back to 1000 satoshi a piece. Just be patient.
Mad respect to psycho-pat, you may have saved people from losing their $$$.
