Sorry for Threadcrapping,

Maybe i know what you think about BFL, but would you handle the production of these kind of Miners if someone could supply the Chips to you ?

Hi one4many,

The wrongly routed net on the PCB has already been fixed on our boards  Smiley

so 1 module cost $2500, isn't this a bit expensive?

the 22ghs unit should cost $1000 at max, right now

It all depends on delievery times.
In hand now 2500$ would be cheap, end of the year even 1000$ would be too much.

2500 is 3+ months roi right now(remember that difficulty keep rising while you mining), therefore it is expensive, and I have not even considered the wattage(180)

Thank you for the good news Giorgio.
Quick questions though: It seems you soldered Fuse F1 onto the controller board as well.

Shouldn't it be removed?

Looks great. The question is when Avalon chips arrives.

Let's hope (or pray if you are religious) that Avalon at least sticks to their delivery estimates on the chips.  Roll Eyes

Testing the control unit and flashing the FPGA firmware, sourcing all the components for the first sold batch and mounting everything in the prototype case were the things that keep us busy this week.

While we were expecting to get the Avalon samples earlier, due to a Chinese holiday that lasted three days we just received them this morning. Not really too bad, as we’re going to bring all the 30 samples to the factory tomorrow along with 3 hashing modules’ PCB for assembly.

It took a lot to source all the components of the boards from the various suppliers and manufacturers because Avalon’s specifications were in some cases obscure and had to be engineered again. So, as we did, we took the change to oversize a bit the power supply of the modules to about 50% more than the minimum requirements (now it's [email protected] for each module); overclocking and watercooling users will be very happy of that! I’m glad to say that by thursday of this week, all the needed components to assemble batch #1 units will hit the factory and will stay there in the warehouse, ready for assembly

Some issues were also posed by the fact that Avalon didn’t release the sources of its FPGA controller, that required us to reverse engineer it a bit to understand why a part of the onboard USB hub wasn’t working, and it came out that it was due to the type of quartz oscillator used for the clock. Don’t worry, it’s now fixed, we’re going well and perfectly on time!

Here are some pictures of the current prototype and the Avalon chips that came in this morning, we’re just waiting for the factory to pre-produce 10 samples of the hashing units (of which only 3 will have the Avalon ICs on them) so that we can “glue” everything together and post pictures and a video of the working prototype. They've been scaled to fit the forum's size but you can see them in high resolution on our website's post: http://bitmine.ch/?p=554

Cheers

If you don't feel safe about this project, don't buy it, but you shouldn't call it a scam because these guys didn't have 2 years old accounts on this forum. By the way, your account is 2013 too...

My account is from 2013. yes but I'm not asking for others' coins, chips or whatever. For the stuff on sale at Bitcoin Megastore, there is 30-days
money back guarantee
provided by CafePress. Out of 30+ items already sold not even one was returned but even if some items ends returned it
won't be my fault. If you check a little, it is very clear who you are dealing with there and what is the deal about but that can not be said for deal
on this and so many other threads on this forum because major lack of info.

If stuff posted by giorgiomassa in opening post and afterwards is enough for you to send him coins or chips than you better not venture out in the
wildernesses of the world. Stay in your dream world, where eventualy swallowing your claims is so much worse than ending up scammed.

Guess it's a good thing no one is asking you to buy anything.

Apple is a concrete legal entity that cannot simply disappear over night - also, as far as I know, they don't accept bitcoins as payment, in other words, customers have a very real chance to get their money back in case of doubt ... and please stop worrying about me. Thank you!

I'm worrying for anyone except me on this forum Wink

Anxiety and breakthrough technologies are a bad entrepreneurial mix, and opinion/anxiety-driven complaints can be annoying for anyone that is doing investments in this (every day more) professional market.

When it comes to investments and entrepreneurship a preordered iMac is a risk too, and I don't pester Apple forums complaining about delays or lack of reserved information about their supplies, I simply tune my business strategy and change my "opinion" about them.

Ofc nothing personal here, peace and love (and mine)!
