Zefir, correct me if I'm wrong, but English is not your mother tongue?

"Who cares?" in common English usage, pretty much all variants, is pejorative. I didn't take it that way, but I can see where one might.

Absolutely not, I have several mother tongues, but English is none of them. Besides mine being based on German school English (which has a reputation of being clumsy anyway), I am well aware of my limitations when it comes to lingual nuances - hell I'm only engineer and narrow minded by design Smiley

My argument was that 'Who cares?' is different from 'Who cares about the details, they won't change anything, do they?'. Maybe it is just me, but the second variant for me reverses the relation, i.e. the first one translates to 'f*ck off' towards the customer, the second to 'f*ck off, I don't care why you're late' from the customer. If that's not the case, I'll admit my failure and say sorry.

Now I hear customers yelling: time to discuss English language but no time for updates Angry

I can give you some definitive ones from the SW side:
  • CoinCraft Desk
    • done: the driver got integrated in upstream cgminer just today (check git repository)
    • done: all remaining FW parts (UI, sensors, actors) passed long term testing over night
    • done: with that, FW is ready for deployment
  • CoinCraft Rig
    • done: IAP bootloader to reflash STM32 over SPI in the field
    • done: initial hashing proxy tunneling SPI comms between host and 2 chip chains
    • done: Initial cgminer driver
    • WIP: sensor and actors (temperature, voltage regulator, etc.)
    • WIP: self-optimization, long-term stability

Essentially, the FW for the Desk was done before time (devices are assembled / tested while I type), while the SW for the Rig will be ready just in time.

See this is something new, that's sounds like, somethings moving forward/being done...

Thanks for the update Zefir Wink

The only bad thing i have to say about it, is that's its sad, that bitmine.ch dint have 1 min. to make an update them self like that one...

Not downgrading your update (i kinda ask for it, and its great, don't get me wrong), i appreciate it, and thanks...

I just think, that many have the same problem as me, why is it that, the company, we paid god money, (really god money) can't find the 1 min it takes to make an update, like yours, on our (collectively) million dollar investment?
(if production is halted at the moment, their shut be nothing but time...)

Its feel shady, and like their is something to hide, if its becurse of more delay they shut just come out and say it, its not like it cut get any worse then it already are... :S

But again, thanks for the effort Zefir...

etimes you must wait 10 oder 15 minutes...
I have no idea how long he was waiting...but I'm sure there are many people trying to call them these days ^^

Btw, I'm a Swisscom user as well. Everything work's fine here. I'd say it's just a local problem...but Swissom usually fixes them within a few minutes.

I had calls with swiss customers and had also no issues.

But there was heavy rain in australia and a camel called giorgio blocking a highway in kasachstan, which may have caused some additional delay.

Was anybody there ? At "Centro la Monda 2, 6528 Camorino, Switzerland" ?
Have anybody seen something real ?
Thanks.

Stop being an asshole...

Giorgio operates a full fledged ISP as well as Bitmine.CH, but as I stated earlier, they had problems with Swisscom, weather resolved or not, curently not known.

Why is then Zefir posting to Forum and not Giorgio ?

Because Zefir is in Germany...and not Swiss - curently...

About the location...It's actual address, and a very large building and there is a fully functional data center as well.

Keep your fingers crossed for mounted PCBs' to come from Italy...and desk rigs will be shipped first, rack rigs later, when...I hope tommorow is the deadline they used to talk about for first series...

For all those nervous about Mt.Gox going bellow 100 USD, well, my condolances, it's a gambling world and a risky business...

Whoever can't deal with it find something else to do.

Essentially, the FW for the Desk was done before time (devices are assembled / tested while I type), while the SW for the Rig will be ready just in time.

thanks for the update...

if the customers can read new (small) updates, every day-> i think its a better way....

when  the first units are going to ship ?

Great to hear that the software is ready, and thanks for the update.

I know it's definitily not the first prio, and it does not really matter, however one or two screenshots of the GUI would help while waiting for some HW updates from bitmine. So if you find 5 free minutes within the next days... Roll Eyes
