Dear all,

finally the software update for the CoinCraft Desk Units has been released and is available, together with instructions, on the following page:

This is the changelog for this version:

*) Fixed OpenSSL heartbleed vulnerability

*) Fixed web interface issues with Apple iOS-based safari browser

*) Fixed an issue with recent generations of One-Wire temperature sensors

*) Added thermal shutdown and automatic recovery

*) Added over/down-voltage ability both with basic preset settings and advanced settings, leading to an increased hashing rate.

*) Updated cgminer to latest version 4.3.0

*) Optimized cgminer’s driver with up to 20% less CPU usage on Raspberry Pi system

*) Stepped back to diff-1 jobs so that HW errors will be detected earlier and the displayed hashing rate will be more consistent with the effective hashing rate

The real date for refund request in accord with their ''terms or service'' is 10 May yes i calculated for my order.
what i want to show is that their TOS is a joke.as you see they canceled my order on my request before the refund limit request date.and gave me 30th april as date for refund request.but then they changed their minds and canceled the canceled order lol. and now they sent it to me.so what we can say when we talk about bitmine TOS? of course package will be returned because i will not even bother to go at mail service to pick it up.so if they have the right to do anything they want with their customers even against their TOS then i have the right to refuse their machine as a normal thing.end of story.

I hope and wish you're right and will get refunded. They better do so. The fact that they canceled the canceled order for sure is in your favour. But I'm worried they tell you, you were not allowed to ask for a refund and won't refund you. Then it's up to you to sue them or accept the miner. They are good at this sad "game"...

Wow, this looks bad. I don't want to destroy your hopes, but I assume bitmine will get trough with this behavior.

I assume the date to request a refund (30.04.2014) is correctly calculated according to their CPP? What get's me is that they prolonged the date with mail from 28.04.2014. Does't make sense at all. To me this looks like they weren't sure on the 28.04.2014 if they are capaple to deliever before the requestdate (30.04.2014). That's the kind of shi* they protected themself from with the CustomerPP way in advance.

The mail written by Kerim on 28.04.2014 may be an attempt to breach the contract. No words...

The Italian link says that you can "force" the debtor, BitMine.ch, to either declare insolvency or refund due debts, like those of the ones waiting for more than 30 days after filing a refund request.

Yes, that's what i was talking about. The article you linked basically states the two different ways a company goes bankrupt. The first part describes how a company declares bunkruptcy by itself due to insolvency (liabilities exceeding the assets). I hope bitmine doesn't have to declare bankruptcy, because in this case (usually) there won't be much money left to repay their customers. The second part explains the procedure how a creditor can drive a company into bankruptcy. If the deptor is solvent, he can avoid the opening of bunkruptcy until the actual opening through the judge, if he's willing to pay. If the deptor is able to do that, he also has to pay procedurals cost plus the costs of a lawyer.

But to enforce the bankruptcy proceeding, you need a judical decision which states, that the company (bitmine) owes you a certain amount of money. Therefore you need to initiate the regular civil litigation. Before you can "call" the civil court, you need to go through the "mediation proceeding", where you won't get compensated for your expenses. If bitmine is liquid, at the latest they will pay you at this point.

To go through the entire procedure to get to the point, when you can drive bitmine into bankruptcy, it cant take up to 2 - 6 month, if they dont refund you at any moment before the court opens bankruptcy. As soon as the court opens bankruptcy, all creditors are able to join the bankruptcy proceedings within 30 days without going through the proceeding in front of the civil court.

I hope this makes sense.

@giorgio: If necessary, I'll go through this shit to the bitter end. I can't stand how you abused the reputation of swiss business standards to build trust in your company. Hope is the last to die. I still have gleam of hope that you hold up to your promises (TOS). if not, good luck... Angry

You cant honestly be surprised by Bitmine not keeping promised dates.
It´s the whole "two weeks" all over again.

A quick reminder: they still havent shown or shipped any working Rig design, even though they claim their design is ready for more than a month.

Meanwhile spondoolies manages to fit over 4,2TH/s into less than 4U and everything works perfectly smooth.

The bitmine "engineers" need so much time, because they only get things right on accident.

Or get coolermaster jetflo 120, they are 95cfm at only 36 db(a), and only around 10€.

You should definately go with around the same cfm on input and output fans, obviously.

227 m³/h with Scythe Ultra is ofcourse great for airflow, if you have them on both input and output side, and if you dont have to worry about noise, get those.
(That is, if there is 3,8cm of room at the "back", i.e. the side with the PSU)

How much cfm or m³/h do the stock fans have?

How much place is on the "front" side, i.e. the side with the display?

Atleast they have thought about big heatsinks, so little airflow gets wasted, and placing them near each other also helps.

And be careful with the dimensions - the Ultra Kaze is 120x120x38. Does that fit into the case?

for front FANs (blowing air into case): no problem.
FANs in the back should be less thick. (space is limited)

If you are looking for fans which make less noise (45.9 dB is quite loud), but still offer good ventilation, consider a "Scythe Slip Stream 120".
I've cooled a GPU rig with the 1600 rpm version (33 dB, 88.11 CFM = 149 m³/h) that offers good ventilation with a bearable noise level.

And be careful with the dimensions - the Ultra Kaze is 120x120x38. Does that fit into the case?

hehe -> i use the same fans -> realy ok for this price.... but some of them get fast problems with the "Lager".... an than you get realy terrible fibration...

if you remove the sticker in front of FAN, you can add 1 drop of oil.
Keeps the resonance away

Without temp will rise 57+ degree C, with FAN 43 degree C

Let me know what fans you are getting, I'm considering upgrading my as well
