Yeah you are right no sense leaving a frozen group buy open.

I know you are annoyed but look at this from my viewpoint 12 hours labor so far most likley all for naught.
I am disappointed, but not annoyed and I fully recognize and appreciate the (potentially wasted) time you put into this.

I was not aware that this started as a sub-60 unit order.
In any case, the two order solution sounds like it should work for both parties. We'll see.

why? god forbid any of you should have an RMA. But if you do I, then I will need a purchase
date and this is one way I can sort out customers who buy in the group buy, otherwise you
are not in our system.
2. Once The numbers of buyers and controllers is settled, I will make an invoice for the buy.
3. The organizer will get 2 free machines. i understand philipma did this before and got no love.
i want to remedy this.
later I'm just going to make a regular product for group buys something like 60 Machines and 30 controllers.
after I look at the numbers. Its also an easy way to be an insta-reseller

For what it's worth, this rule has been stated pretty clearly on their site for at least a few weeks. The rule was not changed. Canaan is piss poor at communication, but they communicated this one bit of information pretty well.
I was clear enough on thread that is was always btc.
and steve posted on thread.
plus we had pm talks.

and 59 units no bank order
60 units bank order
first pm's were as low as 30 cards

Splitting the group buy into smaller orders is a great idea, and I'm for it. Hopefully Canaan can work something out since they have quite a bit of demand from the community.

My restriction is I have to use btc to send to them.
They may have a btc cap of some kind
thus the under 60 no bank transfer

I'm all for breaking it up into 2 orders if we have to. or if we have to do a wire transfer ourselves (I doubt it gets to that) I work at a bank in Oklahoma and am willing to wire transfer my part.

Well, balls.
Guess I'm bringing in a hundred PSUs for nothing, unless the BTC issue gets resolved. Still hoping for that, because this was gonna be a pretty cool thing to get done.
Hopefully they'll be able to work it out. I mean it's an $80k sale just sitting in their laps with exactly one not unreasonable condition.

yeah but they could be in the same spot I would be in which means neither one of us can bend due to government rules.
Maybe we do 2 orders of 50 a week to 10 days apart. I will float this by them.
