The "Last 5 Blocks" table is throwing up BTC as the currency quite a lot.

I wish it were true. I'll look into it.

I too. I too. Smiley

Stats are a bit off for me. anything going on?

Yep, just cleaning up more dynamic bit size for alt-currencies. Should make readouts more accurate.

I'm implementing Mining Teams. It will be purely aesthetic, but will be prominently displayed.

So, does anyone have a group affiliation they would like to see implemented?

UPDATE: Early team support is now available.

Cool! But, I'm assuming we DO need the NMC client to collect!

When does it go live?

If all you want is the extra profit you can probably do without a Namecoin client and wallet.  Simply send namecoins directly from your simplecoin account to an account on an exchange.  If you want to collect and keep the namecoins then I'm pretty sure you need the client (and not an old version).

Merged mining will go live 37 Namecoin blocks from now (at block 19200 - see the Namecoin block explorer).  At the current rate this should take about a week.  I don't know when the simplecoin pools will move over to merged mining but I'm hoping it will be pretty soon after 19200.

My goal is on block 19200. Assuming I'm awake.

Merged Mining PHP code is finished and online. You may have noticed the NMC currency in the dashboard Wink

No! But, I do now!

So how would one go about "Merged mining"?
Is it automagical? Or do we need yet another miner?

It will be automagical. Just mine at one of the 3 BTC pools an it will become merged automagically.

So, since the "Yay"s obviously don't mean a solved block in TBX miner, then what is it all about?
I was wondering that also.
After a little bit of watching it, I think it's an accepted share! I don't know what the rest of the crap is then. =\

Yes, it's just an accepted share. In solo mining an accepted share is a found block, in pooled mining it's a found share.

what port is tenebrix mining running at? I'm trying to do 8337

They are all running at port 8337. Just choose the pool you wanted in "Account Details".

I think "TBX Proportional Hash Rate" in Poll Stats should change to Mhashes/s. Ghashes/s gives nothing about the speed since TBX mining is very slow in hash speed.
how long does it take to make a share? I'm chugging along at 2khash/sec

I don't know the theoretic rate. It's unlike classical coin which is 2^32 hashes per share. On my computer that's about 5-8 min/share @ 1.4kh/s.
yeah, I'm getting that on mine too
I wonder how that works and how it's calculated

anyway, I get empty replies from server on some LONGPOLLS, can you look into it?

I've tried several times using curl, and I had no problems.
