IMHO, minimum payout amounts are way too high for small miners.

Your trying to cater to the under 1 ghz crowd, but at your current minimum payout it take around 4 blocks for a payout(.5 BTC).

Wouldn't it be better to have minimum  payout around equal to 1 block at 1 ghz ~.10 BTC.

That way there is less BTC sitting in the HOT/Cold Wallet in case of another hack.

just think of that super small miner with 100 mhz, how often would he get a payout ever once every month?

AFIk it is proportional miner shares vs all shares vs pool reward in last 24hrs

My miner frequently drops to around 50Mh/s, when I usually get 160Mh/s on other pools. Is this just a thing p2pool does, or is it server load or something?
See miner log, it throwing any errors? If not - hardware issue (overheating?).
If using cgminer remember to set queue to 0 and gpu threads to 1.

Sorry for the lateness guys. Been rather busy in real life so i haven't been able to check the forums as much as i want to.

Anyways, Yes the server is in Dallas, TX. Eventually I will probably open up a UK VPS to run p2pmining on for our prospective european users.

I guess I will wait for europe node, too high ping for me.

And btw if someone wants vircurex ref, there is one in my signature.

So whats the plan with i0coin now? With the Vircurex announcement

"Due to the low network hash rates and the resulting risks of double spending attacks, we are temporarily disabling deposits and withdrawals of I0Coins"

and

"We will stop all trading activities of I0Coins on 1st Oct 2012 12:00PM UTC. Please withdraw all your I0Coins by latest 14th October 2012. An online withdrawal after 14th October 2012 will not be possible, requests after that date will be processed manually and a fee of 0.1 BTC will be charged."

Does BTC-E support i0coin? or is this the death of it?

I really like i0coin because of its fast block times, I can see Mining Rig problems faster and estimate bitcoin Payout percentage?

Can I add a feature request?

Some way to tell how many shares you have in a rolling 24 hr period, or an estimate of your pool percentage.
Because I used I0coin kinda for this purpose, I know if I0coin is at 7% my bitcoin will be at 6.25% etc

I have 5 Mining Rig that I try to keep track of, I know your pool is catering more towards smaller miners but i still like it.

I need a verification of the process of Payout on the litecoin pool.

LTC Generated > Pool's LTC Wallet > User's LTC Wallet.

I just need to make sure the generated coins go to the Pool's Wallet First and then are transferred to the User's Wallet.

Vircurex wallet is picky and doesn't like Generated LTC going directly into it.

Generated coins go to pool wallet first and then get sent to your address.  I use Vircurex addresses for all my payouts except for bitcoin

Updated database code in p2pool. Was opening and closing database connection every time a share was submitted. Now connection stays and cursor stays open. Hopefully will increase performance.

Someone sent me a PM and asked why I would do this if I didn't make a profit.  I guess the only reason some people do things is for money.

By the way, anyone want to donate a vps in europe to increase p2pmining's reach? I've heard we don't have a very good ping time from over seas.

Just a notice if anyone is having problems with stale % and cgminer 2.7.4 upgrade to 2.7.5 to fix the problem.
I had a rig reboot and use the old version and my Stales on that rig jumped to 50%.

Scattering my bits around the net since 1980
Hey, Jay...

Could you prioritize your FAQ page for an hourish? At least long enough to detail how to set up the coin payout addresses? (alt-coin mainly, but would like to be able to set an alternate bitcoin/litecoin deposit address too, since I would want them to go direct to an exchange instead of my wallet)

Thanky!

Transaction fees are about 6 DVC per payout. Ran out of DVC in pool wallet.  I transfered some DVC to the pool wallet to cover the deficit. 6 DVC will now be deducted from each payout to cover transaction fees.
Ahh ok. Sounds fair to me.

Is there something wrong with the Devcoin payouts? I'm at almost 4,000 confirmed DVC and haven't gotten any payouts in a while.

I thought because of the nature of namecoin, when you find a bitcoin block, you also find a namecoin block?

In that case, aren't we short a few namecoin blocks?

M
When we get credited for finding a Bitcoin block, it doesn't mean P2P Mining was the one that found it. We did find block 197723 and found a Namecoin block shortly after.

Duh.  I knew that.

Thanks.

By the way, I have no idea where the server is. vedalken254 would need to answer that.
I think he said in the p2pool server list thread that the server is in Dallas. I get ~60ms ping to it so that seems about right.
